I believe that, based on the public laws and principles of the universe, our WFWP members should engage themselves in the task of forming sound families in accordance with the heavenly way and properly establishing their societies and nations with a special sense of mission.

However, I would like to emphasize once again that the movement we should prioritize before anything else is the true family movement of true love, of living for the sake of others, carried out in conjunction with education in proper values.

Women should also become the standard-bearers of the peace movement. Even in the essential businesses of this Federation, various activities for the unification of South and North Korea are stated clearly. Women should play a leading role in bringing about the unification of South and North Korea and world peace through the education of ideology and the practice of true love.

War and conflict arise from selfish motives of desiring to take others' land, possessions, or the like by force. On the other hand, peace arises from investing oneself for others, that is, giving true love.

In the final stage, the "era of heavenly affairs," in which we should follow the path of living for the sake of others, the cold war has ended and new hopes for peace and social justice are spreading out across the entire globe at an amazing rate.

Those leaders who turn their faces away from the new realities of the world or who fail to see them will be swept away by the changes coming upon us like a tsunami. I believe the time has now come for us to step forward boldly and receive new opportunities and values.

Beloved WFWP members! And my fellow women leaders!

Women are not there to help or to be protected by men; rather, they are independent individuals who, as the representative of the other side of God's nature, are meant to make men more complete and manly.

Centered on the ideal of true love, women are the precious objects of men's love. In terms of value, men and women are absolutely equal.

Thus, men and women, who are united as one through original true love under God's ideal of true love, have been created to become completely equal beings in terms of value, centered on true love, by sharing not only the same rank and the right of participation but even their possessions with one another.

Therefore, men and women do not need to confront or contend with each other, for they don't need to imitate the characteristics, dispositions or roles of the other or to covet them and take them by force. Instead, by giving what they have to the other with true love and completing the other, they can become united as a bigger whole and share one another.

In the twenty-first century, women should play a major role in world history by serving as one of the wheels of the tractor pulling forward the construction of a peaceful world together with the men. Going beyond the century of power and technology, women will be the central axis in building the century of love and the peace culture, and their role will be more important than ever before.

Twentieth Anniversary of Women's Federation for World Peace celebrations have included two separate conventions in Korea three weeks tour of Korea and a major event in Tokyo that drew many leaders from Japanese society. Mother remained in Japan for a week, from March 5 to 12, speaking each day to large audiences of our members in major cities.

This report, translated from Korean, was written by the senior director of the World Mission Headquarters, Sung-il Cho.

True Parents presided over the twentieth anniversary celebration of the founding of the Women's Federation for World Peace on March 41 in the city of Daejeon, South Korea. (See page 15) The following day, True Mother left for Japan to celebrate WFWP's anniversary in Tokyo with societal leaders and then to speak to members on a six-city tour. She left Cheon Jeong Peace Palace after Hoon Dok Hae. Accompanying her were Kook Jin Nim, his wife Ji Ye Nim; Yeon Ah Nim (Choi), the vice-president of WFWP International; Hoon Mo Nim, Dr. Lan Young Moon, the president of WFWP International; and others. Sun Jin Nim and In Sup Nim joined them in Japan. Father remained behind, setting conditions for the success of True Mother's tour.

Soon after her arrival, Mother met with key leaders over a meal and then traveled to the hotel in central Tokyo where the WFWP event was held. It began at 11:30 AM with a video highlighting WFWP's work in Japan and overseas, such as service projects, sisterhood ceremonies and conferences promoting Middle East peace. WFWP has 110 projects ongoing in more than fifty nations.

Following the video, the widow of the first president of our Japanese church, Mrs. Tetsuko Kuboki, who is the president of WFWP Japan, took the stage. She described their organization as being guided by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon under God's direct supervision. As a key aspect of the Japanese contribution, she spoke of the more than sixteen hundred Japanese women that had gone out to the world to serve with courage as volunteers in 1994. She added that after twenty years as an organization, they were beginning to see daughters join their mothers in WFWP activities. After this introduction, a woman university president offered her congratulations, as did a member of the House of Councilors.

The thousand people on hand had lunch together, during which Mr. Benson Ogutu, the Kenyan ambassador to Japan and one of nineteen ambassadors at the event, toasted WFWP's continued success. At about 1:45, amid thunderous applause, True Mother, looking wonderful in red, took the stage and delivered her anniversary speech, "The Role of Women in the Fra after the Coming of Heaven and the Mission of WFWP." Her message lasted a little more than thirty minutes.

Afterward, a welcoming banquet was held for True Mother at a different location for about three hundred Japanese leaders. When Rev. Yeong-seob Song, chairman of the National Federation of Blessed Families, spoke about how much True Father desires to come to Japan, tears welled in the eyes of many who were there. When the moderator was about to proceed, True Mother suddenly took the microphone and said, "I am not here alone. True Father is here, too." She asked someone to bring her handbag, from which she withdrew a black leather wallet. She explained that it was Father's and that he had given it to her that morning before she left Korea. He told her that in this way he was going with her. True Mother divided the cash in True Father's wallet into three equal amounts and explained that it would be donated to the national headquarters, to Japan's central region and to the last destination of her visit, thus conveying True Father's deep love to Japan.

True Mother then took out a W50,000 bill and spoke about the woman pictured on it. She told the audience that Saimdang Shin was renowned as a good mother. "As the mother nation," she said, "please develop to be more respected as a mother than she was, so that you can experience 100 percent or even 120 percent of True Father's love." After listening to True Mother, various groups, choirs and individuals sang. Everyone ended together singing the Korean song, "Saranghae." They shouted, "Father, we love you," to express their yearning for True Parents.

Second day: UPF Rally, Tokyo metropolitan area

Three hundred and fifty members attended Hoon Dok Hae with True Mother, who encouraged members to be united with True Father and to help people become children to True Parents while True Parents are still alive. She told them to live with determination and to witness to someone every day. She warned them that not much time remains before D-day.

The Hope of Peace and Security in Japan, the World UPF Rally, began at eleven o'clock in the midst of around five thousand members from the greater Tokyo area. Five thousand others watched it through video broadcast. It began with prayers by leaders in Shintoism, Christianity and Buddhism for the victims of the March 11 earthquake in northeastern Japan. After these leaders prayed, a prayer of True Father's from March 7, 1976 was read.

Chairman Gentaro Kajikuri, the ailing leader of the church in Japan, mentioned in his welcoming address that Korea, Japan and Abel-type countries including America have recently weakened. He called the complacent unconcern over the threat of attack from Cain-type countries the same mind-set within Abel that made murder possible in humankind's first family.

Kook Jin Nim then took the stage to emphasize that we should build a strong Japan and Korea. Participating members greeted his presentation with many fervent cheers. Beginning last year, local national security rallies based on his "Strong Korea and Japan" material have been held in about a hundred locations throughout Japan.

Following the Tongil Group chairman's presentation, True Mother made her entrance and spoke to the audience for more than three quarters of an hour. In addition to her prepared message, she told them that as an Eve country Japan should have followed Heaven's will and fulfilled her mission, but Japan has prevented True Father from entering the country and has tried to suppress our activities.

Following Mother's speech, Chairman Song came onstage and expressed deep gratitude to True Father who was watching the rally live through the internet. He thanked True Mother for speaking and ended the event with four cheers of mansei. True Mother then flew to her next destination.

Third day: Hiroshima

Among testimonies read at Hoon Dok Hae about the Tokyo event was one from a woman who wrote, "The moment I saw True Mother in the rally, my heart trembled and tears came out. Wanting to see True Mother's face closely, I look at her the whole time through binoculars." True Mother burst into laughter when she heard this.

Mr. Gyeong Tak Nam, who is in charge of church members in the area devastated by the earthquake and tsunami, told Mother, "Even in that hellish environment, when I saw that our members did not give in to reality, I felt that True Parents have raised us to be strong."

In speaking of Father being with them, Mother added that even Father's ID card was still in his wallet. Regarding Saimdang Shin, she said that she was a devoted daughter who raised a great son, Yul Gok Lee, a famous Confucian scholar. Mother told the members that like Mrs. Shin, they can give birth to great people through witnessing. Witnessing she said, "is our hope and happiness."

Mother spoke that day in Hiroshima to an audience of more than 3,000 people. During the speech, a video clip was shown of imperial penguins. The female lays the eggs in extreme Antarctic temperatures. The male keeps the eggs warm for two months without eating or resting. At least one observer said that the penguins sacrifice helped him sense True Parents' love toward humankind.

Fourth day: Kumamoto and Fukuoka on Kyushu Island

Hoon Dok Hae took place in Fukuoka, and Mother gave her speech to members in Kumamoto, an hour and a half away by car. Both are on the island of Kyushu, which is at the southwest end of the Japanese archipelago. Notable from the morning Hoon Dok Hae -- which followed the observance of Ahn Shi and attracted six hundred members -- were testimonies about spiritual experiences from the Hiroshima tour stop. A member testified to seeing Father sitting next to Mother onstage. When the member saw him, she cried. She closed her eyes, opened them and Father was still there. Another woman, who has been doing Hoon Dok Hae every day since she was blessed several years ago, testified that her husband and children have been unwilling to go to church. Her husband attended Mother's speech and later said that he saw an aura around True Mother.

From this experience, he said that he believes that they are in fact the True Parents of mankind and he understands why his wife has been trying so hard.

True Mother gave one-third of the cash in Father's wallet to churches in the southern area of Japan at this Hoon Dok Hae. About Saimdang Shin, she added that while traveling from Seoul toward his home, Mrs. Shin's husband had been tempted by a woman in an inn. This woman had received a revelation that having sex with him would produce a prominent son. By maintaining his purity, he did indeed have a prominent son, but through his wife, Saim-dang Shin. "Men also need to guard their purity.... How important do you think women like Saimdang Shin are?" True Mother asked. "The story shows us how important the role of a mother is; in other words, blessed families are precious."

The audience in Kumamoto numbered 3,700 members, including some in wheelchairs, who longed to see True Parents. After her speech had concluded, two people were in an anteroom waiting for True Mother. These were not members. They had never heard Divine Principle. In response to a revelation to fold cranes for world peace and the salvation of mankind, they had each made a thousand origami cranes. When they had nearly completed the task, another revelation came telling them to present the cranes to True Parents. When Mother heard this testimony, she told them, "You have been guided by Heavenly Father to meet me. From now on, you should take responsibility for the revelation you received and strive to complete it. In order to do so, you should study the Divine Principle. The Blessing Ceremony is very important in our church. After studying the Principle, you should receive the blessing."

Fifth day: Kansai Area 6

At Hoon Dok Hae, Mr. Kimura, one of the crane makers, testified. He is from Seichi-no-ie, a new age religion founded by Rev. Masaharu Taniguchi (1893-1985). Mr. Kimura concluded his detailed testimony by saying that after hearing Mother emphasize the Blessing Ceremony and Divine Principle, he felt profound gratitude.

Japanese members have distributed 2.8 million copies of Father's autobiography. A woman who has personally distributed 7,000 copies told True Mother that she wants to glorify True Parents until the last moment of her life.

That day's speech to members occurred in Kyoto and drew 3,200 members. Around 1,000 members watched the event in three overflow rooms on monitors. When True Mother heard this, she went to each room before going to the main hall and encouraged the members there.

After the Kyoto event, True Mother and her entourage drove to Nagoya. On the way, at an expressway rest stop, True Mother bought udon noodles for everyone. The members had a wonderful time, sharing their affection for one another during the meal.

Sixth day: Nagoya

At Hoon Dok Hae on this morning, it was reported that the members in Kyoto had collectively done 400,000 full bows as preparation for True Mother's visit there. Relating the story of Father's wallet, Mother added that as they left Cheon Jeong Gung Father had said, "Hurry; and bring back my wallet." She said that Father needs his wallet but wanted to convey his love to Japanese members. When speaking about Saim Dang Shin, Mother compared the great King Sejong being on only the W10,000 bill to Mrs. Shin, whose face adorns a bill worth five times as much. Laughing, she said, "Though we call Korea the Adam nation, I don't think they can count us mothers out!"

A great deal of singing went on that morning. Many groups sang and danced. After a powerful song by a youth group, Mother said, "With that much vigor Nagoya should be restored by tomorrow." She then told the Korean men working as church leaders in Japan to sing "Men of the Wilderness" and not to be outdone by the youth group. True Mother sang "Nogojiri" saying, "Father loves this song. It's about farmers starting off their morning full of hope, working all day to create a new heaven and new earth, and then going back home in good spirits." To conclude the Hoon Dok Hae at seven o'clock, Mother led everyone in singing "I Love You."

At ten o'clock Mother's speech to 4,300 members in Nagoya began. After a video on True Parents' lives and initial greetings, Chairman Gentaro Kajikuri shouted, "In the Unification Church we serve a true God. Through a movement of peace, let's build a church that leads all of humanity into heaven!"

To loud cheers and applause, True Mother took the stage. As she testified about God and about True Father's life, she became overwhelmed with emotion from time to time and had to wipe tears away with her handkerchief. With each pause, the watching crowd experienced a part of God and True Parents' deep heart. Many were drawn to tears. True Mother said, "I'm crying because being in Nagoya, I feel as if I've returned to my hometown." Slowly, as though to savor the significance of the moment, with her handkerchief in hand, she carried on with her speech.

After speaking, True Mother presented colored photographs of True Parents at their Holy Wedding to some members and a souvenir with this year's motto imprinted on it to Chairman Kajikuri and one other leader.

Seventh day: Sapporo on Hokkaido Island

This was a year to the day since the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami laid waste to parts of northern Japan. At Hoon Dok Hae, True Mother comforted the 750 members from districts in Hokkaido directly affected by these natural calamities. She emphasized Japan's providential role as the Eve nation. She also told the audience that True Father has been participating in the tour by internet broadcast and was now on Korea's Geomun Island setting conditions in support of True Mother's tour. A district leader reported to True Mother that all the members had set conditions for her visit and highlighted a few exceptional cases. Three members fasted for seven days and distributed 430 copies of Father's autobiography as their preparation. An eighty-three-year-old Korean-Japanese that had suffered from discrimination growing up in Japan read Father's autobiography three times as preparation for True Mother's visit. After watching a documentary on True Parents' lives and listening to True Mother speak, he said that he felt their suffering and shed tears for what they have gone through.

Around 3,200 members came to Mother's speech in the city of Sapporo. On this, the final stop on her tour, True Mother spoke as if she wished to convey the importance of our mission with every word. She said, "One year remains, a predestined time in which we should give everything with the heart of the living as if death were drawing near." Members cried throughout her speech and applauded frequently. True Mother also said, "We are happy people because we are in a position where we can realize God's dream."

Other incidents on Hokkaido

In September 1991, True Mother traveled to Japan on what was described as the beginning of her global public mission with a speaking tour of Japan at the invitation of the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia, the precursor to WFWP. During that visit, she spoke in nine cities and created a holy ground in Showa Shinzan on the island of Hokkaido. "Shinzan" means "new mountain." Showa is the name given to the era (1926– 1989) of the emperor who reigned during the time that this new mountain came into existence. Showa Shinzan is near volcanic Mount Usu. It has been said that Mount Usu "gave birth" to Showa Shinzan. Its birth took place in the same year as True Mother's. In 1943, in a flat wheat field, to the accompaniment of seismic activity -- the ground shook and steam escaped from the depths of the earth -- Showa Shinzan rose and over the course of two years reached a height of 270 meters. Similarly, True Mother is a unique creation, a woman who came from the earth to join the man who comes from Heaven. Thank God for True Parents' emergence, which has given hope to us all.

My beloved Women's Federation for World Peace members, and most honorable women peace leaders!

First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to God and Rev. Moon for the great success of this 'Convention to Open, Inherit and Fulfill the Era of the Victory, Liberation and Completion of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind', held today in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Women's Federation for World Peace. At the same time, I would also like to convey my grateful heart to all of you.

The 'Women's Federation for World Peace' (WFWP) was founded in April of 1992 as a central organization of the women's peace movement, in accordance with the will of Heaven, by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and myself at the Olympic Stadium in Jamshil, Seoul, together with the declaration of the 'advent of the global era of women,' attended by women representatives from 70-some nations in the world and 150,000 Korean women leaders.

WFWP did not start off as an ordinary sort of women's organization. It is not an extroverted, political or militant movement founded to recover women's rights, or a movement that mainly speaks to men about feminism, gender equality or women's labor rights. Rather, it has the providential significance of realizing the world of God's ideal of creation.

WFWP, which was founded with such providential significance, has achieved remarkable growth and development over the course of the past twenty years through carrying out various service projects and educational programs based on true maternal love in all parts of the world, in order to establish families of true love and to elevate the status of women.

Ever since the founding of WFWP, I have undertaken speaking tours throughout the world's nations and continents in order to build a global organization and activity base. Early on, I sent out 1,600 Japanese WFWP volunteers to 160 nations in order to mobilize WFWP members in each nation. Throughout the years, WFWP has carried out various service projects, educational programs and campaigns to bring about resolution and reconciliation to international conflicts. All of these efforts were accomplished by transcending the barriers of race, religion, language and nationality through maternal love, which is inherent in women, and in accordance with the core of my husband's message at the founding rally of WFWP: "True Mother has triumphed as a representative of all the women in history and all the women in the world. Attending True Mother, model movements to practice true love should unfold throughout the world in every field of life, including politics, economy, culture and society, in order to bring about world peace. Moreover, ideal families must be realized through a movement of true love that establishes the image of a true mother and the image of a true wife."

In addition, building on the momentum of the special address I gave at the United Nations Headquarters in New York in September 1993, WFWP exerted itself for three years and as a result obtained the status of an NGO in general consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, which is the highest status afforded to an NGO by the UN. I am joyful that, since then, our status has been reapproved consistently at the quadrennial re-evaluations, which entail strict assessment of activities and achievements. Only 140 of the more than 3,400 NGOs at the UN are given general consultative status. The fact that WFWP's status as such has been consistently reaffirmed signifies that the UN is recognizing WFWP's value.

WFWP has carried out various local projects in many parts of the world in order to realize the 'Millennium Development Goals' instituted by the UN at the beginning of this new millennium. Now WFWP has taken root in many nations and communities and has begun to bear fruit. It has been greatly rewarding for me to see WFWP receive recognition and support from the governments of such nations.

One of the great achievements of WFWP is the Middle East Women Leaders' Peace Conference, which WFWP has hosted annually since 1997. The conference has attracted much interest and participation from women leaders of more than twenty nations in the Middle East, and has inspired a steady development of concrete field activities. It is a truly remarkable achievement that women leaders of the Middle East are now becoming pivotal leaders for human rights and peace activities, going beyond religious conflicts.

In addition, we have hosted the 'World Women Leaders' Workshop' in different continents each year from the year 2000, which has taken root as a beautiful meeting place for the participants to share their wisdom, their vision for the future, and their on-scene experiences in all corners of the global village. It is also an opportunity for participants to cooperate with one another. Taking it a step further, the different continents and countries including Korea, which is the WFWP International Headquarters, Japan, USA, the UN Secretariat, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Canada, Central and South America, Africa, and Northeast Asia are all developing and carrying out various projects adapted to the needs of their locality. I cannot but feel proud of and grateful to all of them.

Furthermore, we are also actively conducting relief aid to resolve the problems of natural calamities and poverty in various parts of the global village. In particular, under the slogan, 'Let us share a little of what we have', we are carrying out the 'Love Share Project' to help the children and women in North Korea, and we have achieved great results. Moreover, through several effective enterprises including local specialized businesses for the solidarity and expansion of the influence of WFWP in local societies, we are realizing only too keenly that the power of women is changing societies and achieving amazing results in the construction of a peaceful world.

More than anything else, the Leaders Invitational Peace Divine Principle Seminar?, which helps women leaders recover their divinity and presents them with the right life direction, has been held more than 30 times now, and it has deeply moved many leaders and brought them to a new turning point in their lives.

As can be seen, from the founding of WFWP to reaching the highest status as an NGO in consultative status under the UN, our members have never lost heart and have pioneered the path of women's peace in silence with an unchanging heart. Therefore, I would like to give a big round of applause to express my infinite gratitude and love for them, and also for the women leaders who have never failed to give us their encouragement and participation.

What is the path that humankind should take today? Even now tens of millions of innocent lives are being lost each year to war, disease, starvation and natural disasters that arise in all parts of the world. In every field you observe, whether religion, politics, education, culture or ideology, from the individual to the collective level people are deeply mired in the swamp of self-centered egoism, raising walls around themselves. We now live in a world brought to ruin, where genuine communication has broken down.

Ultimately, the problems afflicting humanity can only be resolved through the worldview of 'One Family under God. 'In other words, this worldview is the ideology based on true love which my husband and I, the True Parents, have learned from Heaven and have championed and taught throughout our lives. This is because it is the only way for humankind to find the path toward peace and happiness.

Ladies and gentlemen!

We are now living in a historic time for a great cosmic revolution to change history, to unite the spiritual and physical worlds and to create the ideal kingdom of heaven that God has longed for since the beginning of time. We can no longer postpone or prolong it. Heaven has already proclaimed that January 13th, 2013 will be 'Foundation Day'. That day will mark the beginning and genesis of the substantial Cheon Il Guk. That day is now less than a year away.

Therefore, it is time for all people to be humbly obedient to Heaven's decree. The fateful moment lies before us on this day, when we need to devote ourselves completely with a life or death commitment for the remaining year under the guidance of True Parents, who are carrying out the Providence on earth as the substantial representatives of God, the King of Peace.

Ladies and gentlemen! Do you have any idea how much pain God suffered the moment our first ancestors, whom He created investing eons and unreserved devotion as His children, fell and inherited Satan's lineage and disappeared into darkness? Have you ever even thought about the long, dark tunnel of indemnity our Heavenly Father has had to undergo as He waited and endured tens of thousands of years of excruciating heartache so great that His bones shed tears and His flesh quivered? Have you ever shed even one teardrop for our pitiful Heavenly Father?

Ladies and gentlemen, in silence God has raised and prepared the Korean people over a period of thousands of years. You well know that God sent His true son, Jesus Christ, to earth two thousand years ago to save humankind.

The result, however, was truly a wretched one. The people of Israel, who were supposed to receive Jesus as the Messiah and follow him with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, instead drove him to die on the cross, didn't they? In the end, Jesus left behind the words, "It is finished", referring only to spiritual salvation, and left this world. Sadly, it was after two thousand years of preparation that his Second Coming finally took place on the Korean Peninsula.

From the past, the Korean people have worshiped God as the highest and primal ancestor of their forefathers. They called that single being and progenitor of all people the "One", that is, God and served Him as the Lord (Creator of night and day), and this is why all numbers begin from one and two. Because the Korean people have served God as their original ancestor, mutual dependence, mutual prosperity and universally shared values are alive in their spirit and tradition, and what is more, in their spiritual selves, and thus they have been continued to this day.

They have maintained themselves over five thousand years of history, yet not once have they invaded or plundered another nation or people. The spirit of benefiting all humankind still flows in the veins of the Korean people. Furthermore, the spirit of filial piety, fidelity, and loyalty, which are the fundamental virtues of human life, are still alive and breathing in Korean history.

The true filial piety shown by Shimcheong, who threw herself into the sea when she was still a blossoming girl so her blind father could see, is the standard of filial piety for the Korean people who serve and attend their parents. The profound love and fidelity displayed by Choonhyang, who came to the verge of death while keeping the promise she had made to her husband, is the signpost for the lives of all Korean women. The unbreakable loyalty exhibited by Admiral Yi Soon-shin, who gave his life to save his nation and people despite being forsaken by his king and other leaders, is indeed the pride and noble spirit of the Korean people.

These noble Korean values and traditions are not just matters of historical chance. God prepared the Korean people and laid down the foundation for the Providence to establish the Messiah based on those traditions.

Thus, riding on the energy of the Korean Peninsula, the True Parents of humankind and the King of Kings could finally be manifested after receiving the Seal of Heaven.

Beloved WFWP members and my fellow women leaders!

The path that humanity should now take is clear. What would give you cause to hesitate in the face of the D-day that Heaven has revealed through True Parents? Only a year remains now. Heaven's blessings will be with you on your ambitious and busy course.

If you view the flow of history from the viewpoint of Providential history, you can see that the changes of the times can be broadly classified into three stages.

First is the 'era of worldly matters', that is, a time when materialism took precedence. Next came the 'era of human affairs', a humanistic era when peoples' knowledge and Heaven's impartial emotions took precedence in dominating the world.

However, these eras were transitional. They were eras we needed to undergo in the process of entering the era in which people can rid themselves of their fallen nature, return to their original selves and live as one united family under God as their Father.

The era of the final stage is the 'era of heavenly affairs', in which human beings should follow 'the path of living for the sake of others' by establishing an absolute standard based on their internal and external purification through the Marriage Blessing Ceremony. In other words, this is the time of opening up the era of Cheon Il Guk, a time in which we can return to the heart of the one true God, and I hope you will engrave this on your heart

Once the era of the substantial Cheon Il Guk begins, the 'Union of the Spiritual and Physical Worlds' will be established in the central axial position, and it will govern all created things. To put it another way, the spiritual and physical worlds will be connected and substantially united as one, and the Providence will be carried out according to the heavenly law and the heavenly way.

Then, elections conducted in a purely secular fashion will disappear from the face of the earth. All people will become one family through cross-cultural and inter-racial marriages, and we will live in tranquility and prosperity and enjoy true love of peace and happiness. This day is now right before our eyes.

You need to all engrave True Parents' teachings onto your bones and practice them in your lives. We have no choice. All that is left for us to do is to inherit, succeed and accomplish the blessing of the opening of the gates to the era of the victorious liberation and perfection of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind.

If we do not prepare now, we will surely be left behind. We should learn from the courage and fortitude of the white-necked cranes that fly across the Himalayas, which are more than seven thousand meters high, in preparation for winter.

I believe that, based on the public laws and principles of the universe, our WFWP members should engage themselves in the task of forming sound families in accordance with the Heavenly way and rightly establishing their societies and nations with a special sense of mission.

However, I would like to emphasize once again that the movement we should prioritize before anything else is the true family movement of true love of living for the sake of others, carried out in conjunction with the right values education.

Women should also become the standard-bearers of the peace movement. Even in the essential businesses of this Federation, various activities for the unification of South and North Korea are stated clearly. Women should play a leading role in bringing about the unification of South and North Korea and world peace through education and the practice of true love.

Wars and conflicts arise from selfish motives of desiring to take others' land, possessions or the like by force. On the other hand, peace arises from investing oneself for others, that is, giving true love.

In the final stage, the 'era of heavenly affairs,' in which we should follow 'the path of living for the sake of others', the Cold War has ended, and new hopes for peace and social justice are spreading out across the entire globe at an amazing rate.

Those leaders who turn their faces away from the new realities of the world, or who fail to see them, will be swept away by the changes coming upon us like a tidal wave. I believe the time has now come for us to step forward boldly and receive new opportunities and values.

Beloved WFWP members and my fellow women leaders!

Women are not there to help or to be protected by men; rather, they are independent individuals who, as the representative of the other part of God's nature, are meant to make men more complete and manly.

Centered on the ideal of true love, women are the precious objects of men's love. In terms of value, men and women are absolutely equal.

Thus, men and women, who are united as one through the original true love under God's Ideal of true love, have been created to become completely equal beings in terms of value, centered on true love, by sharing not only the same rank and the right of participation but also their possessions with one another. Therefore, men and women do not need to confront or contend with each other, for they don't need to imitate the characteristics, dispositions or roles of the other or to covet them and take them by force. Instead, by giving what they have to the other with true love and completing the other, they can become united as a bigger whole and share one another. In the 21st century, women should play a major role in world history by serving as one of the wheels of the tractor pulling forward the construction of a peaceful world together with the men. Going beyond the century of power and technology, women will be the central axis in building the century of love and the peace culture, and their role will be more important than ever before.

Even though the world of today is filled with confusion and chaos, the women's peace movement of this organization, united as one under God's vision of true love, should soar up to a whole new level based on our achievements of the past twenty years. We should strengthen our network with global women leaders for the expansion of the worldwide women's peace movement and dedicate ourselves to the utmost with the conviction that we can purify this world into a beautiful world of peace wherein God's Ideal of Creation can be realized.

If we can do so, God's Absolute Authority and the divine protection and great blessings of the spirit world will be with us. Ladies and gentlemen, Let us all walk the path of the true mother, true wife, true daughter and true woman leader, who can construct a unified world overflowing with true freedom, peace and happiness.

The Role of Women in the Age after the Coming of Heaven and the Mission of Women's Federation

Distinguished guests from home and abroad! Beloved members of the Unification Church!

It is a great delight to be back here in Japan, five years after my last visit in 2006. I would first like to offer words of comfort from my deepest heart to the nation of Japan, the Japanese citizens and members of our church in Japan for the severe harm they have suffered due to the great earthquake in March of last year, and also from this year's avalanche.

This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the founding of the Women's Federation for World Peace (WFWP), and as I look back on the footprints we have left behind in history, I would like to return glory to our Heavenly Father for His work behind the scenes to help WFWP develop and grow into a global organization. In addition, I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to our members, especially our Japanese members, for the hard work they are carrying out in various parts of the world.

On this day, I would like to speak to you under the title of 'The Role of Women in the Era after the Coming of Heaven and the Mission of WFWP, centering on the words of the speech given at the Cosmic Assemblies for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and for the Proclamation of the Word by God's Substantial Self.

In April 1992, in Seoul, Korea, True Parents declared the advent of the global era of women through the 'Founding Rally of the Women's Federation for World Peace,' attended by women representatives from 72 nations around the world and 150,000 women of Korea.

That day marked the beginning of the great footsteps of tremendous significance in the world history of women. This was because it was the point of global transition through which the main role of developing and leading history was handed over from men to women.

At the time, True Father emphasized, "The true workers who are to bring an end to the world of wars and violence, oppression and exploitation, and crimes, and realize an ideal world overflowing with peace, love and freedom, are the women of this era." He went on to speak words of encouragement to the women, telling them to become women leaders that can lead a new peace movement, armed with the fundamental ideologies of WFWP, that is, 'Head-Wing Ideology' and 'Godism.'

As True Father, following the will of Heaven, walked the path of righteousnes, on which he had had to endure persecution and imprisonment from unrighteous powers, he resolved time and again to begin a new peace movement led by conscientious and righteous women.

Moreover, through his keynote speech, True Father entreated, 'Now the time has come for women to establish the model of the true mother, true wife and true daughter, and thus fulfill an ideal family through the true love movement of living first for the sake of their husbands and children.'

Through these words he clarified that WFWP was not a movement for women alone, but rather the movement of bringing together ideal families to establish ideal nations and ultimately an ideal world.

After the founding rally, we embarked on a world tour, beginning with a speaking tour carried out across major cities in Korea, Japan, the United States, and eight major cities in Europe, and furthermore, through Moscow, Oceania, Africa, Asia, and China, to lay down a worldwide foundation for the organization and activities of WFWP.

Until then, I had only been in the position of following in the footsteps of True Father as he established traditions of victory. From that moment on, however, for the first time in history I stood on equal ground as True Mother and proclaimed the liberation of women worldwide.

What is more, we presented the 'Head-Wing Ideology' of True Parents based on 'Godism,' which played a decisive role in opening the gates to the post-Cold-War era, as the great Principle for the construction of an eternal world of peace. It is the mission of the Messiah and the Savior to teach the way to bring an end to our sinful history, which became entangled when humankind lost the way of true parents, true husband and wife, and true children.

Wherever I went, I clarified before all heaven and earth that True Father has dedicated his whole life to pioneering the path of the Messiah and True Parents.

Because Adam and Eve fell in the family, restoration also needs to be achieved in the family. By becoming one with the family of True Parents, it becomes possible to achieve the restoration of the family and become a perfected victor. We can then go on to restore the tribe and the nation, and furthermore, to accomplish the unification of the world and the unification of heaven and earth, and thus bring about the era of peace and prosperity centered on God.

True Father installed me as the representative of Eve, and made public not only the origin of the Fall but also the parables in the Bible related to the Fall and all secrets in history. This was because it was necessary for him to personally announce worldwide every sin committed by Eve.

It was truly miraculous that, in the short period of three months, we visited various parts of the global village and successfully held a women's rally in 113 cities in the world. We cannot but reflect on how great and inevitable was the providential significance of the founding of WFWP.

Thanks to such devoted efforts, in the first year of its founding WFWP already had a solid organization and foundation for activities in Korea and the rest of the world. Our members around the world are working hard to realize our founding spirit, 'Let us form families of true love based on the maternal love of women and construct sound societies and a peaceful world.'

Ladies and gentlemen, the Cosmic Assemblies for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and for the Proclamation of the Word by God's Substantial Self were carried out first in Korea, followed by eight nations in Europe, USA, and Nigeria, as the world tour for the declaration of the final conclusion and completion of the history of the Providence of Restoration in the lives of True Parents.

The path taken by the True Parents shall serve as a tradition and historic example; thus, I am proclaiming that all of you should model your life course on this path, become families that pledge to inherit and fulfill the will of God that True Parents have already accomplished, and be true to this pledge.

On April 18, 2010, we celebrated our 52nd year of marriage. On that occasion, we brought to a close the era before the coming of heaven, which was marked by sin and indemnity [atonement], and proclaimed the era after the coming of heaven through which a new heaven and new earth will be realized by returning to true love. Through this tour, we are leading a lifestyle befitting the era after the coming of heaven. Please engrave this point in your hearts.

The details of True Parents' life course have already been disclosed and conveyed to you through my husband's autobiography. I pray that you will all become the representatives and heirs of True Parents before the conclusion of the Cosmic Assemblies for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and for the Proclamation of the Word by God's Substantial Self. Please take heed of the autobiography, which is a record of my husband's life's work to enable the True Parents to succeed in their mission during their time on this earth, and build on my achievements. Please also inherit the teachings we have bestowed upon this world. In doing so, I pray that you will surely be triumphant in your course of life.

Like the True Parents have done, you too should become heavenly bridges for all your relatives and the members of your clan that are around you, and also a God-centered leader that can guide your clan to God's kingdom. I ask that you take this proclamation of True Parents to heart and pledge to put it into practice.

With the declaration of the advent of the new era of women, True Parents have organized new women's movements centered on the true love of God in various parts of the world.

Local chapters of WFWP are carrying out a variety of social educational programs for the establishment of true-family ethics, volunteer work and sharing campaigns for our neighbors and societies, the UN reform movement including the accomplishment of UN Millennium Development Goals and international exchanges and joint activities, and the 1% Love Share Project for North Korea and the campaign for the reconciliation and reunification of South and North Korea. In addition, local chapters in nations across the world are carrying out various activities adapted to their local circumstances and situations. During 1994, some 160,000 sisterly ties between Korean and Japanese women were made over 38 sessions.

This gave way to the 'Establishment of sisterhood between American and Japanese women in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the ending of World War II' held the following year, which gave birth to 20,000 American and Japanese sisterly ties, and the movement was expanded to include African-American women later on.

The sight of women from enemy nations embracing each other and making peace with one another centering on the true love of God was truly beautiful and heart-moving.

This tradition developed into a whole new level. At the Registration Rally for God's Kingdom and the Fatherland held last year, 172 American clergymen were bequeathed Korean surnames and formed brotherly ties with representatives of those surnames. In short, they were registered into God's Kingdom. The ideal of humanity as one family under God is being realized even as we speak.

Based on such activities, volunteer workers of WFWP in Japan have carried out devoted service with love and dedication, building schools, teaching skills and so forth, transcending the barriers of race, religion, and nationality, in regions around the world that face certain challenges, including Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and South America. Thus, they have laid a worldwide foundation for the activities of WFWP.

The 1% Love Share Project for North Korea, which signifies sharing a small part or 1% of what we have, is being carried out jointly by all WFWP chapters in the world. Moreover, to expand the scale and operation of the project, the name has now been changed to 1% Love Share Project and is being carried out around the world.

As can be seen, WFWP has carried out various activities participated by women leaders from all nations and all races in the world, and by sharing one another's experiences and wisdom in relation to the role of women in constructing a true world of peace, they have formed a strong sense of solidarity that indeed 'the world is one home, humankind is one family.' More than anything else, one of the greatest assets of WFWP can be said to be the deep friendships we have formed with renowned women leaders of the world.

Beloved members of the Unification Family!

Throughout our lives, my husband and I have established many international organizations and institutions to promote world peace. We have invested unreservedly in many fields including inter-religious cooperation, humanitarian projects to benefit society, intercultural activities, sports, education and the media. We founded all these initiatives with the aim of promoting peace and bringing salvation to humanity.

After working to succeed in all these things, some people would commend us and say that we deserve to look back and comfortably enjoy the rest of our lives.

They encourage us to forget about the world situation and sit back and enjoy the successes achieved during the past ninety years! However, my husband and I cannot look at the lives we have led in such a worldly way.

We have had to complete the mission of the actual True Parents, given to us by God, who is Himself the vertical True Parent of all humankind. Now, with less than one year remaining in this mission to make God's kingdom, Cheon Il Guk, a reality, we are leading each day of our lives with more seriousness than ever before.

Throughout his life, my husband has offered himself for the liberation of God, the one and only True Parent of heaven and earth, to restore to Him His rightful position as Parent, to save all human beings who suffer in the realm of death, and to return them to God's bosom. For this purpose he has persevered and triumphed over countless tribulations while leading the people of the world, who are living like lost and unaware orphans searching for their heavenly parent, toward the goal of global salvation. Due to the Fall, brought about by our first ancestors, people are born into the false lineage. Every one without exception wanders in darkness even now, unable to break free of Satan's bondage. Under such circumstances, how could we be anything less than completely serious in our lives as we guide the seven billion people of the world along the path toward the building of God's kingdom on earth?

Ladies and gentlemen, we are living in a historic time of great cosmic transition. It is a time for a great cosmic revolution to change history, to unite the spiritual and physical worlds and to create the ideal kingdom of heaven that God has longed for since the beginning of time.

We can no longer postpone or prolong the fulfillment of His wish. We have already proclaimed that January 13, 2013 will be "Foundation Day." That day will be the actual beginning of God's Kingdom of Cheon Il Guk. That day will be the origin. Yet, less than one year remains until then.

Therefore, it is time for all people to be humbly obedient to Heaven's decree. An unavoidable time is upon us today when we must invest ourselves completely with a life or death commitment for these remaining two years under the guidance of the True Parents who carry out the providence on earth as the substantial representatives of God, the King of Kings.

All the good spirits in the spirit world are mobilized and are already moving forward a step ahead of you.

Beloved members of WFWP Japan and Church members!

We are now living in the era of the Pacific Civilization. The central nations of this era are Korea and Japan. The Adam nation is Korea and the Eve nation is Japan. And the Archangel nations are the United States, China and Russia, which lie in the periphery. This was decided by God. In order for Japan to fulfill its mission as the Eve nation, she needs to connect the new tradition of the Eve nation to the women's realm in Korea. And now this has been made possible through the founding of WFWP.

Going beyond its mission as the Eve nation, Japan also has providential significance as the mother nation. Until now, it has always been at the forefront to fulfill its responsibilities and duties in the role of the daughter and the wife.

As the Eve nation, Japan needs to fulfill its mission following the will of Heaven; however, it is instead opposing the entry of Rev. Moon into Japan and persecuting our work. Faced with this reality, I have endeavored, with a loving heart based on the oneness in body and mind of husband and wife, to enlighten Japan about the heart and situation of God and what He desires of Japan.

True Parents are devoting their energies into helping Japan fulfill its mission as the Eve nation in the providence, that is, to go beyond playing the role of the daughter before the father, the role of the bride before the coming bridegroom, and the role of the wife before the husband, by establishing Japan as the mother nation.

We need to bear in mind that this is the sacrificial course comprising the infinite love and devotion of True Parents, who are trying to resurrect us into a new life and to deliver us by giving new life and love. Herein lies the reason members of WFWP Japan need to stand at the forefront before the members of any other WFWP chapters and to work even harder.

True Parents have already prepared the last words they will give to humankind. These have been prepared based on my husband's triumph over six or seven life-or-death situations, including six periods of unjust imprisonment. We are leaving behind eight textbooks and teaching materials for humankind to use for all eternity. Altogether, these are published in almost a thousand volumes.

They are The Sermons of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Exposition of the Divine Principle, Cheon Seong Gyeong [Heavenly Scripture], The Family Pledge, Pyeong Hwa Shin Gyeong [Messages of Peace], True Families – Gateway to Heaven, Owner of Peace and Owner of Lineage, and World Scripture.

These are textbooks you will have to read and study even after you go to the spirit world. They are not just teachings that come from the mind of one person.

They are textbooks and teaching materials that teach the heavenly way that God has granted to His suffering children for their salvation.

You should now set up the Hoon Dok Hae study tradition in your families using the books I have mentioned. That is the tradition where three generations of a family start each day by reading Heaven's word, and lead a life of practicing what they read, with a new heart.

Let's create a world where people in the spirit world and the earthly world can both attend True Parents at the same time, and read the word on the heavenly path together.

Once this happens, no matter how hard Satan may try to worm his way in to infest your lineage, once he encounters the Hoon Dok Hae tradition he will find no room to move.

If a family is aligned with God as at high noon, where no shadow is cast, and still does not receive God's blessings, who then could ever be deserving of them?

When such heavenly families fill the earth, the world will automatically become the heavenly kingdom on earth and in the eternal spirit world, fulfilling the vision of "one family under God."

Ladies and gentlemen, two years ago, my husband's memoirs, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen, an honest and candid account of his life, were published. Through this book he shares how he discovered God's will for humankind and the path that we, as God's children, should follow. His life has been a typical model of the saying, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try, and try again."

We have as much faith in this book as in the Hoon Dok textbooks and teaching materials I have mentioned. For this reason, I recommend it to you, believing that it will show you how to lead your lives according to true principles.

It does not subtract or add anything to the ninety years of my husband's life, which he has led under Heaven's decree. I pray you will carefully read this articulation of true love and find great inspiration.

I have already mentioned that a life of vertical "noon-time" alignment casts no shadow. If we can all shine as we live such glowing lives, there will be no chance for the shadow of sin to be cast. Those who receive the light will be indebted to the light.

I pray that we can now wipe away the tears of people in misery and poverty, and lead an illuminated life of eternal true love that dissipates all darkness.

Beloved Unification Church Members!

Distinguished guests, at this serious and important time, a revolutionary and cosmic change must now take place in your lives. In light of this let us summarize the message Heaven has given to us today.

First, all blessed families should attend God at the center of their families and every day carry out Hoon Dok education, which can completely unite parents and children.

In other words, you should thoroughly teach the Divine Principle, the textbooks and teaching materials True Parents have bequeathed, True Father's autobiography, and absolute marital fidelity taught through the Original Substance of the Divine Principle workshops.

Second, Heaven has permitted the grace of the authority of Sunghwa for rebirth and resurrection to be bestowed on the family unit. Here, a requisite condition is the complete unity between parents and children. In other words, you must establish the standard for absolute parents and absolute children, and establish an absolute family in the normal course of events.

Third, humankind has moved out of the authority of the era of restoration through indemnity, thanks to the grace of True Parents who have suffered hardships through which they sweat blood. Therefore, do not forget the fact that during True Parents' lifetimes we all have the responsibility to liberate families, tribes, peoples, nations and the world in which God can dwell from the authority of hell.

Now that the era of restoration through indemnity has ended, what kind of era is dawning? The reign of tranquility and prosperity in the victorious authority centered on God and True Parents shall be eternal.

Fourth, we are now entering the era of the authority of God's direct dominion.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have said that less than a year remains until the "D-day" proclaimed by Heaven.

I beg that you inscribe in your hearts the fact that we have entered the era of the authority of the cosmic Sabbath in which your direct family members in the spirit world shall return to the earth to receive the Original Divine Principle education, and where eight generations will live together in a single family. Aju!

Ladies and gentlemen, these concluding remarks explain the broad outline of all our endeavors. They bring to a close this rally that is being held for the religious circles, the earth, the spirit world, physical world, and Cain and Abel-type world, in order to finalize what my husband, the Rev. Moon, has achieved through the course of his entire life with God the master of the spirit world and physical world. This is not something that could have appeared in history before now. We are now in a time where God is concluding the providence and harvesting its fruits in the final stages.

In Nepal at this very hour, Original Substance of the Divine Principle lectures received from True Parents are being broadcast by a national television station in Nepal, to educate all its people.

Activities centered on the United Nations are now on track and gaining speed. The Women's Federation for World Peace, which my husband and I founded, has been recognized for initiating activities that are in line with the UN's founding purpose and goals. Thus, it is becoming recognized as one of the top tier organizations among the 3,400 plus NGOs registered with the UN. Furthermore, WFWP has achieved outstanding results in its activities promoting women's rights, and solving problems of poverty and education for children. WFWP has already been awarded for its work on a number of occasions.

In addition, we have carried out many activities coinciding with the UN Millennium Development Goals, in Korea and the rest of the world, and I am delighted to say that, following its first approval in 1997, WFWP has been reapproved in its status for the third time in 2010, in the re-evaluation that is held every four years.

My beloved WFWP Japan members and Church members!

From now on, WFWP Japan should play a more active role in educating its members centering on the Peace and Unification Thought and Ideology, while at the same time externally nurturing women leaders in preparation for the establishment of true family ethics and the realization of a world of peace.

In addition, it should spare no efforts in making an international network of women leaders for the realization of the ideal of 'a world of peace with humanity as one family.

Moreover, every member needs to fundamentally cultivate and train the precious original nature and value given us by God, and endeavor to become fragrant women leaders with maternal love and a maternal disposition.

Thus, we should plant love and peace in our families and societies, and furthermore, do our utmost best to build a world of peace with humanity as one family by taking the lead in constructing a peaceful global village.

From the providential viewpoint, Japan has the mission of the Eve nation. This is why Japan has two contrary sons: the pro-Pyongyang Federation of Korean Residents in Japan and the pro-Seoul Federation of Korean Residents in Japan. Japan cannot stand as the Eve nation unless the two Federations are united as one.

When the two Federations, which are like Cain and Abel, are united as one, Eve should embrace them and connect that tradition to the Korean Peninsula.

The WFWP members of Korea and Japan should become one and set the goal of restoring the new nation, and plow on until they have restored the nation sought after by God.

Ladies and gentlemen, the world is now revolving centering on True Parents. Historically, Korea and Japan, Japan and the United States, the United States and Russia and other such nations have been enemy nations. The people from these nations will also take part in the cross-cultural marriage blessing on a nationwide scale in order to eradicate the fallen lineage received from Lucifer and inherit the new heavenly lineage.

The ongoing project to build undersea tunnels between Korea and Japan and across the Bering Strait, which I have proclaimed to the entire world, will be spearheaded by religious leaders on a worldwide scale and completed in attendance to our liberated God.

In this world, atheism and communism, which deny the existence of God, will be discarded, paving the way to building the world that God originally envisioned, where all people can freely communicate in harmony.

Let us not forget that, though our final destination is the end of the world, our starting point is the very place where our body and mind are united as one centering on true love.

We should also remember that it is only when our families become the settlements of eternal happiness and true love that we can bring to fruition the ideal nation and the ideal world that we have long sought after.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I pray that all of you will become victors who are part of this historic and providential revolution. May the heavenly fortune that flows through the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind be with you all.

This is because the Women's Federation for World Peace is the true 'path of the mother,' who is loved by God, True Parents, our neighbors and societies, and who thus finds her life worth living and full of happiness.

We serve True Parents, who have found out the secret of God and have indemnified everything and laid down the foundation of victory.

You are in the position of the children. We are in the position of realizing God's dream, for which we should be happy.

How happy are we? We live our lives knowing everything, and all we need to do is practice the example set before us by True Parents.

When you try to have happiness all to yourself, it grows smaller, whereas when you share it, it grows bigger. Through us, our neighbors, tribes, nations, and the world can become happy.

Distinguished members of WFWP, and beloved members!

This year, the year 2012, is a very important one both internally and externally.

Externally, many nations in the world are scheduled to hold elections to choose their new leaders. We should pray that administrations desired by God are elected.

Providentially, we only have a year left until the Foundation Day of Cheon Il Guk.

We will live only when we do our utmost best in all our work.

True Father is working at the vanguard as hard as any young man, always thinking about and planning the Providence, and personally going about looking for ways to design the future.

Even now, True Father says that he wants to lead a busy life, rushing here and there.

In short, he is doing his utmost best.

The Emperor Penguins, who live in the South Pole, the coldest region in the globe, love their offspring to such an extent that it seems sublime.

Moreover, the efforts they put into multiplying their offspring despite the extreme cold weather reaching 50 degrees below zero are made possible because they are always hopeful.

The life of the Emperor Penguin makes us think of a lot of things. We should ask ourselves if we have ever put such devotion into witnessing to a person.

Faith is love and hope. Do you have love? Do you have hope?

We have the true love of God and True Parents, which is more precious than any other love. We have the hope of the building of Cheon Il Guk, which is greater than any other hope.

True Parents love you, and they have high expectations of the role of Japan. I hope that this will be an opportunity for you to become more strongly united in heart with True Parents.

I also pray that you will cherish these words in your heart and make the year 2012 a year of victory.

The kingdom of heaven on earth, idealized by God, was lost through the Fall, and the providence of restoration began. Over the ensuing four thousand years, God prepared the people of Israel and brought Jesus to them. He was unable to form a true family, however, and the people and the nation that should have protected him could not do so. Thus, Jesus had no alternative but to die on the cross. This is God's sad history. Jesus ascended to heaven, promising, "I will come again." Since then, two thousand years of Christian history came to be centered on Korea through the miracle of the Second Corning, and history, which God had governed since long ago, came to Korea in the form of a new Christian culture, under God's direct dominion, following Korea's liberation.' This culture blossomed in all its splendor, especially in North Korea, where God looked for the internal Adam and Eve. He first established Adam, and then through Christianity He tried to find the internal Eve.

In particular, God established the New Jesus Church. Until then, all Christian cultural realms had known about the Second Coming, but they all believed that the Lord would come on the clouds. At the time, however, God was working in Korea to prepare for the Lord, who was destined to come to earth in a physical body. Meanwhile, internally, the work of finding the Eve was unfolding as a part of Heaven's truly remarkable providence of restoration through Seong-do Kim and his people and through Ho-bin Heo's Inside-the-Belly Church.

I was born at 4:30 am on the sixth day of the first lunar calendar month in 1943. My father and mother were brought together under Rev. Ho-Bin Lee, who was newly appointed to lead the church. At the time, my parents were deemed a good man and a good woman and it was said that a great blessing from God would be given through them.

During that time, my maternal grandmother, Grandmother Cho, and my mother, Mrs. Hong, concerned themselves only with preparing themselves to receive the coming Lord. Whenever an opportunity to prepare seemed to present itself to them, they went out of their way to find it, and they offered devotions and did their very best. This is perhaps why a new and lively revival movement emerged in Pyongyang at the time. My grandmother and mother thought, believed, that God's will and the providence would all be fulfilled centering on Pyongyang.

I had an uncle on my mother's side that had studied pharmacology at Waseda University. After Korea's liberation, he did not return to Pyongyang but instead went to South Korea where he joined the army. My grandmother had only one son, and when she heard this news about him, she wanted to find out why he had settled in South Korea. Thus, Grandmother Cho, my mother and I went to South Korea. My grandfather remained in North Korea. He also firmly believed that Eden would be established in Pyongyang and he said he would remain there. So we left him there and went to South Korea.

Around that time, I was six years old, and I remember one incident. Ho-bin Heo had been sent to prison around that time. You may have heard about her in Father's speeches; she refused to see Father in prison and told him to leave. At the time, Ho-bin Heo was in prison, and her mother offered Jeong Seong and received revelations instead of her. One day, she called me and took me to a special place. I vaguely remember that it was on the second floor and not the first floor. She took me there alone, and with her hand on my head, she pronounced a benediction. I can't remember clearly what the benediction was about; all I remember is that she said I was a special child and a child loved by God. Soon after, I went to South Korea with my mother, and two years later, the Korean War broke out.

I can't express in words everything I have passed through until now but I can feel that I was raised, nurtured and guided by a great power that is not a part of me.

In 1943, Korea was immersed in darkness. I recall now that my mother remembered seeing a vision in a dream, then, of all kinds of metal ware coming across the sea, across the Korea Strait, through the courtyard of the house, and into the room where I was born. Isn't that strange? All those things poured endlessly into the room where I was lying.

All kinds of metal ware had been gathered up and taken from Korea when Japan was supporting the war -- sometimes even brass sacrificial vessels were also taken.

I think God was giving her a revelation, that although I didn't know it, I was destined to meet Father, and that, with us standing in the position of True Parents, everything would flow into Korea through Japan, which has the mission of the Eve nation.

There are many anecdotes, but the story I remember most is about material blessing and that Satan came and said, "Your birth has brought about my downfall. Therefore, I must kill you." He strangled me, but my mother, who had just given birth, used all her strength to stop him and saved me.

At the time of the Korean War, many Koreans suffered a lot, but thanks to my uncle, I had relatively less trouble fleeing from the war. We stayed for quite a while in Daegu, and at the time, my grandmother and mother opened a small store. I was less than ten years old at the time, and I had been playing in front of the store when a passing ascetic or perhaps a Buddhist priest asked my mother if I were her daughter.

She answered yes, and he told her not to exchange me for ten sons and to raise me well because I was precious. He also told her that I was destined to marry at the age of seventeen, even though I was then less than ten years old and it was a time of war and everyone was suffering. He added that my husband would be much older than I. I don't know if he said this because it was wartime, but in any case he also said that my husband would be a man of considerable means who would dominate the land, sea and air.

Many more examples tell of how I was protected and how people testified about me wherever I went. I can't relate them all; what I want to impress upon you is that, without my knowing about it, I was guided by God to be where I am now. I have always done my best, though from God's viewpoint and True Father's, I must have been inadequate in many ways.

Recently, I heard that at a gathering of some of the thirty-six blessed couples someone asked what the Unification Church would have been like if Father had not married me. The wives all said that God had truly done well to bring me to him, and that they should express their thanks to me. When I heard this, I felt as if they knew that I had tried hard.

At first, I didn't understand anything, and I had forgotten what the passing monk had said, he who had foretold that I would marry at seventeen. However, it actually happened that I indeed married when I was seventeen. When that happened, I observed that the providence of restoration and biblical history are very complicated. So, I resolved to do the best I could, no matter how difficult it might be, to achieve what God desired, the ideal He envisaged at the Creation, and to simplify all complicated matters and arrive at simple solutions.

Heaven blessed us with many children, and I did my best in giving birth to them all. From 1960 to 1975, especially in 1973, when Father began his work in America, we had many difficulties. Communists followed Father wherever he went and interfered with his work, and there were many threats and dangers along the way. My nerves were on edge all the time. I had to move constantly in cars, so over a five-year period I had many miscarriages.

In 1975, Kwon-jin was born, and after that I gave birth to five more children. The truth is that it was very difficult for me. The doctor told me, "You should stay healthy for the children you have now. Why aren't you concerned about yourself?" From my point of view, however, I couldn't say I wanted to stop.

I prayed to God, asking Him how many children He wanted me to have. I also asked a senior lady member, who was spiritually open, to offer special prayers to find out what I was supposed to do. She went up into the mountains for three days to pray especially for me. She returned and told me, "Mother! God says you should have thirteen children."

Then I had Young-jin; I tried to give birth by natural delivery, but the baby's head was large and it seemed I might die during childbirth. Father was in Germany, and the doctor said that both mother and baby would be in danger if a decision was not made in thirty minutes. I had no choice but to have a caesarean section, and so Young-jin was born. Once you have a caesarean section, you can't give birth by natural delivery again, because the part that is cut open loses elasticity.

Therefore, I had to offer a special prayer to find out what God wanted me to do. Heaven confirmed that God was waiting for me to give Him thirteen children.

After that, I had Hyung-jin, who was the youngest son, and two daughters after him. What's interesting to note is that in the 1960s Yoon Cheong Jeong Shim was very supportive of us, and she also came to church diligently and offered prayers. One day I asked her, "How many children should I have?" She didn't give me an answer about that, but she said that my last two children would be girls. To be frank, I thought that if I was going to bear more children that I would prefer to have sons rather than daughters, but she said my last two would be girls. When that came about, I remembered her words.

Hyung-jin is my seventh son, and including the last two daughters, I also have seven daughters. So I have given birth to fourteen children, an equal number of boys and girls.

Prayer on Day of All Things

As we mark the fifty-sixth anniversary of the founding of HSA-UWC and the forty-eighth Day of All True Things, we remember that at the time of the first Day of All True Things, You gave the blessing of Heaven, and it was Your desire that all humanity respond to this in harmony and be part of this. You have undertaken numerous courses during the providence, enduring, embracing, waiting and educating.

On this forty-eighth Day of All True Things, may the fruits of all Your effort go beyond the family to the levels of clan or tribe, race and nation, so that on the world level we may attend our Parents in Heaven. Together with the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, all the creation was supposed to be able to respond to the ideal that God held at the time of the Creation. We have remembered such a day and have worked with great effort through many different courses to resolve all the situations of humanity and create the situation where all things can be blessed.

Please establish us as proud blessed families of the Unification Church family who do our best to fulfill our responsibilities as true children and true families in the presence of the family, tribe, people, nation, state and world in this time, when the True Parents' efforts and Jeong Seong make a huge offering to heaven through the maritime businesses and when all material things must bear fruit.

As You have shown us everything, please remember us in this time, so that all members of the Unification Church family everywhere may become children who can make the final decoration beautiful and live according to what You have shown us. We believe that You will watch over us in this time of rebirth and that You will make this a day when You bless and embrace us. As children who can respond to the heart that seeks to speak for a long time so as to give us as much as possible for our lives, let us remember this and be people who remain steadfast. We fervently, fervently ask all this and have reported all this to You in the name of the Parents. Aju.

Testimony To True Mother In 1960

I first saw True Mother when she was sixteen. At that time Grandmother Hong was living in Noryangjin in retirement, and True Mother was staying at her uncle's house in downtown Seoul and going to school there. During the weekends, dressed in her school uniform and carrying her school bag, she came to see Grandmother Hong. She went back to the city at the end of the weekend.

Though she was only sixteen at the time, surprisingly she was almost fully grown. She was as beautiful as a flower in full blossom and gave off a sweet fragrance. She possessed maturity in every way, with an intelligence to match. I felt that she was a little bit cool, but with a neat personality. Yet, I had forgotten the revelations received in North Korea from God and the fact that when she had come to see Father in the Cheongpadong church and bowed to him, he had said three times, "The true daughter of God has been born in Korea!"

God shouts down at us, "Listen! I have sent you my only daughter; how can you not realize it?" Grieved at our ignorance, God waited yet again.

At the time, Mrs. Yeong-choon Oh was exerting herself night and day to find the woman who would become the bride of the Second Coming of the Lord. No matter where she looked, she couldn't find a prepared woman of suitable age who met the standard of beauty, both internally and externally. No wonder! God had arranged in advance for His only daughter to grow up under protection, away from the eyes of the secular world, where she might mature into an innocent and sweet girl. God was biding His time. Human beings, however, did not realize this and passed her by. I too did not realize who she was even when I saw her with my own eyes.

A few years before the marriage supper of the Lamb, in one Sunday sermon, Father lamented about God's sorrow, and he was so intense that his body seemed on the verge of collapse. He asked us, "Do you know what has caused God sorrow for six thousand years?" His body was covered in sweat.

God had lost His true daughter when she was about seventeen years old, and for six thousand years He had been grieving. His sorrows hadn't been appeased because He had not yet found His true daughter of that age, seventeen. True Father spoke about God's anguish with an overflowing heart, and at that moment it seemed almost as if God had come down and possessed True Father's body. A young girl, aged seventeen, pure and wise and beautiful with internal and external virtues! He must have been talking about God's will. Hearing those words, I thought to myself, "His true daughter aged seventeen... Would that mean spiritually only or both spiritually and physically?" My thoughts and interpretations became increasingly convoluted, and yet I did not remember the seventeen-year-old girl I'd met, who is now our True Mother!

The people who have read Mrs. Oh's testimony will know how fervently she searched for the woman destined to become the bride of the Second Coming of the Lord. All her thoughts were on finding the bride. One day, an old man working with Mrs. Oh told her, "Mrs. Oh, I've heard that Father's bride should be seventeen years old." Mrs. Oh told me this story later, and she said that as soon as the words were out of his mouth, she thought to herself, "Ah, why didn't I think of it before? Soon-ae has a daughter, Hak-ja!" All day long she had to restrain herself from shouting True Mother's name aloud.

Around midnight, she returned to the house in Noryangjin and went straight to Grandmother Hong's room.

"Soon-ae, are you sleeping?" she asked.

"No, come in." Grandmother Hong and Mrs. Oh were close friends and addressed each other in a friendly manner.

"How old is your daughter?"

"Why are you asking me about my daughter's age in the middle of the night?"

"I just need to know."

"She is seventeen."

"And when is her birthday?"

"The sixth day of the first month of 1943, according to the lunar calendar."

By this, Mrs. Oh had achieved something according to God's will, and her heart overflowed with gratitude and joy. The next day, she summoned Mother and got busy making preparations for her to receive the seal of Heaven as the true bride. God had sent His only daughter from northern Korea and had foreordained that when the time came, He would accomplish His will. And His will was fulfilled in the small Unification Church in Cheongpa-dong, Seoul....

From that point on, the revelations given by God in northern Korea were realized through the enthronement of the substantial True Parents on the seats of glory. What a glorious day it was! Although I am inadequate in many ways, I was lucky enough to be present at this solemn occasion for the sole reason that I had been born in this era.

True Parents' Blessing Testimony

At the engagement, Mother was very cautious despite her young age. As she stepped forward on the path of God's providence, she exuded the dignity of the Mother of the universe, prepared for six thousand years by God through His providence of restoration. On that day, Mother sang a song that begins "When spring comes, the wild azaleas bloom over mountains and hills. Where the wild azaleas bloom, my heart blooms too..." Her voice was crystal clear and pure. Even now Father sometimes asks Mother to sing that song, and I believe it is because he too remembers the clear beauty of her voice on that occasion.

During the first few years after the Holy Wedding, in front of members, Mother always appeared serenely tranquil, mostly remaining silent. In all the church celebrations and meetings, she quietly sat beside or behind Father, keeping her silence in comfort and never revealing any changes in her emotions, be they joy, anger, sorrow or pleasure.

At that time, enveloping Mother was always an aura of silence and serenity, which seemed the epitome of the word "consistency." She had an introspective attitude, which made it seem as if she were closely examining every change made around her and amassing experience and intuition in her mind. There was a stateliness about her that prevented others from thoughtlessly interfering with her.

Prayer:

We are sincerely, sincerely grateful that You have permitted us to dedicate this holy temple in Yongsan Borough, Seoul, where we may attend You in a precious and exalted manner for the first time. We thank you that You have made this dedication ceremony so that this holy temple can shine brightly throughout the world as a place where our Jeong Seong and the hearts of all members can be gathered to form a foundation on which the entire country and the entire world, all humanity, will be able to recognize that the true owner is working His will substantially.

May all who come and go here feel the boundless yearning and love of the Father in Heaven every time they look upon this temple of Unificationism. May Your special blessing be upon all Your children who work here. May all the world see that You live and that You are carrying out Your work directly.

Thank You. Thank You that You have given us this day. Heaven has endured so much as it walked a difficult path, being badgered and driven, working in the dark and without recognition.

Now, a holy temple has been opened where we can boldly reveal You and attend You. Please give Your blessing so that Your blessing and grace may be revealed to the world. Thank You for all that has taken place today in this ceremony.

We now offer this luncheon on this day of Jeong Seong and ask that You partake of it first. We thank You and report to You in the name of the True Parents. Aju.
