EVERYBODY, HOW ARE YOU? (in English)
I'm here. You have been blessed with much words and there have been many speeches, so please don't record my speech. As soon as I arrived here I was told by Mrs. Choi that you predicted that I was coming and you were waiting for me. In fact, there were many reasons that commanded me to be back home so that I could not come, but Father encouraged me to come and I'm here, so I'm going to talk a little something to you.
Today is the fifth day of the birth of Quon-jin. I don't know whether or not he was conscious of us leaving, but the other time we left he was very restle and didn't sleep well. The same last night. The reason why I'm saying this is because you don't understand how much Father loves you. You are loved by him to such a degree that our immediate children are jealous of you. Sooner or later you will experience the same thing. We have many blessed couples. At a certain period of time you will experience having children. There are many bachelors and virgins and you will have that experience in the future days, then you will understand me. Well, after giving birth to the eighth child, I feel a little feeble so I can't come to meetings with Father so much I want you to understand.
If you really understand the real depths of the Divine Principle, you will understand that Father is going the course of Jacob. so you will understand that I must give birth to 12 children, I guess. This is a funny story but you know that birth control in the world is prevailing, so whenever I visit the hospital, they warn me about having too many children. In America I had a woman doctor last time and she wanted me to bring my husband. I asked her why; I knew she was going to talk about birth control. It's a funny story, I knew you would understand, so I told you about it.
So, soon you are going to leave to your countries and you are going to play the roles of father and mother to your countries, so I'm going to tell you a little bit of my experience of being a parent.
Whenever I look into the face of the baby I feel cleansed inside. I feel like he's looking through to my mind. Parents can't become bad, something like that, Whenever the baby cries extraordinarily or is uneasy or is sick, I always look into myself and see what I have done wrong. The reflection always comes there, Then I always feel that God is with me and is sympathetic with me. Whenever you witness to the people in your homelands, you must have the heart of the parents to them; you must take care of them and know what they feel and if you really love them in the position of the parent to them I know you will be completely successful there. As you may know, Father really loves you people. Early this morning in the dark Father got up and kept saying, "I must go to Barrytown. I must go to Barrytown and see the people."
We are busy because we are leaving this evening to get a plane to Los Angeles, so we have many things to do and I must take care of the children and meet their needs, but he kept pressing me to go and encouraging me and so here we are.
By the time we get back, I think you will be gone, but you remember we are always with you and Father is loving you so much that he can't leave you but lives with you in spirit. So be confident and work hard and raise as many Chi1dren as Possib1e.
Well, more precious words are coming from Father so I will stop but please don't forget that your Parents are with you always wherever you go.

I miss you and want to see you. My son, whom I always call out to and think of and run to and hug, my good, cute, precious, beloved son, whom I never want to let go of, I miss you. The heart of heaven which loves your parents is like that. So Hyo-jin, though we are separated for a while, you are heavens happy son and your sister is heavens happy daughter. Whether you are asleep or awake, and whether something is big or small, if you live a life of consulting heaven for everything, you will experience greater blessing and love.
Our filial son, Hyo-jin! Our good-hearted and wise Hyo-jin, I love you. I know you will become a filial son of heaven, a filial son of earth and a filial son of the universe; you will become a good example of a filial child.
On Children's Day, we only talked over the phone, and I could hear how much you have grown into a young man. Both Appa and Omma feel so sad that we are too busy following the Will and have such little time to spend with you. Yet we feel so proud and secure because of you. Hyo-jin-ah, you are different from other children. Even though you run around with your friends, you must remember your origin, God, and not damage His dignity. So you must study harder than others, make more efforts than others, and strengthen your abilities more than others. In order to do so, you must study when others are sleeping. Don't waste even one minute, even one second. You must surpass world-famous PhD holders.
I know my Hyo-jin will be able to accomplish anything if you really want to. Appa and Omma are always proud of you. When we see you in the near future, can you surprise your Appa and Omma a lot? Hyo-jinah, I am sending a few photographs so you and Heung-jin and your sisters can look at them together. Please love Heung-jin a lot. Since you are the older brother, you represent Appa. If there is some good food, let Heung-jin have some first, and if there is anything good, think of your younger brothers and sisters first. There is no one else in the world who is like each of you to one another. You and Heung-jin are precious brothers to one another. Isn't that right? "Appa, Omma, please love Heung-jin more than you do me." You should be able to say this, right? You'll become the best older brother, won't you?
Being the best does not only mean wearing nice clothes and being good-looking. That is just the outside. Your heart is what really makes you the best. You know this well. Appa and Omma have huge dreams for you. I am talking about dreams for the amazing and filial Hyo-jin. Omma is waiting and always praying for that. Stay healthy. Goodbye.

The History Compilation Committee has been digitizing old recordings. In the course of their work, they discovered an audio recording of a statement by True Mother and True Father’s prayer and message at their Holy Wedding fifty four years ago. This is a translated transcript of that holy, historic material.
True Mother:
Nothing can fully describe God’s heart now. To this one place which encompasses the entire six-thousand-year providence, you have sent your daughter; I feel indescribably awed in front of your call as you found and established me to realize your will. I pledge to become one with everyone here in all aspects of deep heart until the day your will is achieved.
Father’s prayer:
With earnestness piercing and flowing from our hearts, we are aware that this is a time when this echoing, beating pulse and this one streak of the movement of blood and flesh felt in our hearts can replace the original heart. Father, as you brought about this one day that you sought, over and over again, for six thousand years, we thank you for bringing about this day in history and for allowing your daughter to be able to set up the new course of a mother in front of the cosmos.
I express my gratitude as this is a time— being a victorious day today—through which you have appeared in front of all things that have perfected their heavenly nature in the universe that you created and that this time is one through which you have been able to claim victory for the first time in front of the satanic world by being equipped with a condition for liberation by finding this one day.
I know that now is a time through which we claim victory and Satan carries the sorrow of defeat; a time when our lives and satanic people’s lives will be transposed. O Heaven, please raise the banner of victory. O earth! Please offer joy in return to the Father.
Glory, glory, unending glory. I know that this hour is one in which heaven and earth come together in joy. May all descendants and the entire universe delight in this joyful time for eternity. Father, even if we are to die, allow us to march on toward the satanic world and invest our heart and soul in establishing your children as heroes within restoration as soon as possible and to make this pledge to you.
Please accept your daughter, who has been established today. Crown her with a laurel of victory and allow her to become a daughter that can cut off all your sorrow and resentment. May the time ahead of us, as of this day, become one of victorious glory alone and I sincerely hope that you are always present within the lives of all members. I pray this under the name of the person you have sent. Amen.
True Father:
What happened here today may seem simple in your eyes. If seen as just a ceremony, it may look like an event that just lasted for a few dozen minutes. Yet, when you look at it from Heaven’s standpoint, all the vicissitudes of the six thousand years are encompassed here.
Hence, knowing this and for you to achieve the will, you must be able to take after Teacher’s heart, accept the will as an unfinished work and work on achieving the immense will by cooperating with it.
God’s history is the history of restoration. However, what kind of restoration does it require? It requires complete restoration. Complete restoration! It asks for complete restoration. During Adam’s era, God tried to bring restoration through the brothers. In Esau’s time, God tried to do so through the twins. He did it again through Perez and Zerah while they were still in the womb. By passing this standard, the next standard to be passed—based on the previous standard—is the bride-and-groom standard. We must pass through the bride and groom.
In that case, what should be done in order to pass through it? A one to one indemnity condition must be set in its intact form, just as in the era when Adam fell. You are following a course through which you can indemnify a lot with smaller conditions. However, if one has responsibility over the whole, one must pay the same amount of indemnity; one must be able to set such conditions and pass through them from a difficult position.
Hence, if established churches and the Korean people had supported me when I first set off on this course, I wouldn’t have gone through such suffering. I set off on this path at the age of twenty-six; if they had supported God’s will, Mother would have been chosen at that time.
To attain the stage where Mother can be chosen, all the vicissitudes of the six-thousand- year history must be resolved. However, for this to happen, a bridge must be laid, a solution found and one must be able to break off from all of Satan’s conditions first. As a result, my entire youth passed while trying to follow this course. Now I am over forty. I have passed forty hills. Even if I am over forty, the principled standard cannot be ignored; as a result, young Mother was chosen. The standard requires the bride be under twenty.
From a secular point of view, I could grieve about many aspects because I have aged and face major tasks ahead, and to think that I must advance with a young person can be somewhat sorrowful. That doesn’t mean it is actually so though. The time has already come and we have accomplished this; there is no such thing as face-saving or the likes of that here. As of now, whatever you hear and however it is, it won’t be a problem anymore. Please know that, understand why Mother was chosen at such a young age in this providential age and give her your great support in the future.
Please bear this in mind; absolutely remain humble as we still have a long way to go in the future. Do not assume that fire will come down from heaven and finish everything at once. You should have the conviction, “Father, we are okay even if you do not help us. We are confident that we can move the world just by being equipped with the words of truth and our experiences of the deep heart. We are certain.” Do you promise to live with such confidence and determination? [Yes]/

When did the Mayan calendar end? You all know that this is indeed the Last Days, don't you? Where can we find trust in the Last Days? Hyung Jin just explained about absolute sex, but the world has become a place where people do not trust one another. Parents cannot trust their children and vice versa. This is the crisis of these times.
What I want to talk about is based on the fact that we all know now what True Father's mission is. The question arises: Do you now stand in the position of loyal patriots or filial sons and daughters to True Parents? It is only in a crisis that one can truly be said to be a filial child or a loyal patriot. Anyone can be filial or loyal in times of peace, because they have no trouble living by the law. Isn't that true?
Who is truly a child of filial piety in this era?
Only a few days remain until Foundation Day. What will we do after that? If you are a true filial child or a true loyal patriot, you will know what our Heavenly Father wishes. If you know what His wish is, you need to translate it into action. This happens once in all of history, this unprecedented and astonishing overturning of heaven and earth.
True Mother appoints Dr. Chang Shik Yang executive vice-president of the global Unification Church; African Regional President Katsumi Otsuka and Mr. Dae Hui Hong were among those who gave presentations, in English, at the Christmas Day speech event.
As we usher in these times, we need to ask ourselves who indeed the filial children and the loyal patriots are. Heaven has already given you an opportunity, and explained what you need to do. You need to practice absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. You should never think about yourselves.
Was it Mr. Dae Hui Hong who just gave his report? He did very well. You need to be humble. Humility. Those who are in positions of responsibility should first learn to be humble. They should not think that they have done well. On the contrary, they should feel that they need to learn from all those around them. No one is a success in front of God and Heaven. There are no sons or daughters who have been successful in the eyes of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind. You are still in the growing process. You need to know this.
True Father said that Korea is God's homeland, and if you work with me with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, I hope that we will be able to dedicate this country to God in the year we celebrate Father's one hundredth birth- day. That is seven years away. Will you do this with me? [Yes.]
In order to do so, you need to follow directions, regardless of how high or low your position is. Conic down from the high position you are in and start working from the lowest position again. Can you do that? [Yes.] That is absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. You are not doing it for yourself; you are doing it for God, for humankind, to accomplish God's will. You are doing it to perfect True Father.
Father said that Korea is God's homeland, but in truth that is yet to be realized. You lived in the same era as True Father, and you breathed the same air as he did. Thus, you should be the ones who bear the fruit as well. Isn't that so? You cannot leave this work undone for your descendants to finish. We need to do it.
After Foundation Day, I will make dramatic changes in our environment.
I have arranged to have this time with you today in the hopes that you will make ready for the coming Foundation Day by offering devotions and preparing your minds and bodies. Do you understand? [Yes.] You will do that, won't you? [Yes.]

"What is the Last Day according to the Mayan calendar? ('Dec. 21.') All know this time period is the Last Days, don't they? Where can we find the faith in the Last Days? Parents can't believe children and vise verse. We would be able to say this is a crisis.
I am talking now with the premise that you know what True Father's mission is. In front of (True) parents, are you in the position of filial son or daughter, or that of patriot? It is in the middle of crisis that filial sons and patriots would be able to appear. Everybody could be filial children and patriots in peaceful time because all live according to the law. At this time of history, who are true filial sons? We have Foundation Day closely ahead. How will you move forward after Foundation Day? If you were a true filial son and true patriot, you could know what God's hope is, couldn't you? Then you should put them into practice. This is the first time ever in history, which will never repeat again.
Embracing this important time, who are filial sons and patriots? Heaven has given all of you opportunities and explanations on how to do. Which is 'Go forward with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience.' You shouldn't have your own ego. You should be humble. Humbleness. Those who are qualified as leaders must be humble in the first place. You shouldn't think that you are standing out. Instead, you should think that you need to learn from all around you. In front of God and Heaven, there is no one who is so good. In front of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, there is no son or daughter who is so good. All of you are still in the growing process. You should know that.
True Father proclaimed that Korea is God's fatherland. If you work together with me with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, I would like to offer this country to Heaven on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of True Father's birthday. There are seven years left. (Strongly) Will you do it? ('Yes.') If so, regardless of your position, you should obey the order. For example, I would say, 'Step down from your position immediately and start to work from the bottom!' Can you do it? ('Yes.') That is the absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. That is not for yourself, but for God, humankind, God's will and for perfecting True Father.
True Father called Korea as God's fatherland, but in reality (strongly) she isn't so, is she? In this time period, you breathed and worked together with True Father, and so you should harvest the fruits. You can't pass on this responsibility to generations to come. (Strongly) We should do it. I will change our environments after Foundation Day. I have this meeting today hoping you offer your Jeong Seong preparing yourself with all your mind and body for the sake of that day. Do you understand? You will do it, won't you? ('Yes.')"

What do you think Foundation Day is? How are you preparing your minds for Foundation Day? Two thousand years ago, Israelites, the people chosen by Heaven, were in an environment where they had to live while holding on to God and only God. Weren't they? After all, they were living under the oppression of the Roman Empire. They knew that they were the people chosen especially by Heaven, and they believed that all heaven and earth would be turned upside down when the Messiah came. They must have thought that the Israelites would become strong enough when this happened to overpower even the Roman Empire in one night. Isn't that so? Haven't you learned this through the Divine Principle? But what really happened? In the end, Heaven answered their prayers and sent down the Messiah, but they were unable to receive him.
What was the result of that? The Israelites had to wander around for two thousand years, even though they were the chosen people.
Consider for a moment God's creation of the universe. He began creating the world on the first day, into the second day, and so on, thinking all the while about His ideal nation. For whom did He do that? It was for Adam and Eve, His son and daughter. He was creating the environment for them, who would grow up to become His body as the True Parents. You need to understand this. Please say it: "Creation of the environment." [Creation of the environment!]
The creation of the environment is not something that can be done easily. When you create something in line with your own character, you have to go through labor pains and devote yourself to the task. It is not as easy as saying you want to make something and saying, "Rose! You will look like this," and then suddenly having a fully-formed rose. Am I right? [Yes]
Even though Heaven showed such devotion, what happened after that? God had a dream, but why did human beings, who were created with so much care, fall? Though you have listened to Divine Principle lectures tens or hundreds of times, it is a pity that those teachings do not hit home for you and you cannot translate them into action. The creation of the environment was not just something in God's creation of the universe. It was also in the process of the providence of restoration.
You stand at the center of the Unification Church. You need to look back on yourselves and figure out where you should go from here of your own accord, without my having to explain everything to you.
Everyone, have you come to a realization about the work at Chung Pyung? [Yes!] This is the creation of the environment for you and for the spirit world. Do you disagree with that? [No] I've already told you that I knew about the history of the providence of restoration even at a young age. The creation of the environment had already been carried out during my past, so I was able to understand it on my own, even though no one had explained it to me. I was never educated by anyone. Then, I met True Father, and I resolved to complete the providence of restoration during my lifetime, because regardless of what difficulties I might have to face, if I could not accomplish it, my descendants would have to carry on with the work. I did my best to create the environment for the next generation. When you fail to fulfill your responsibility, you need to pay indemnity. That is inevitable. That is why 1 told you not to be arrogant but to live with a grateful heart. When you can find it in your heart to be truly grateful in front of Heaven and your brothers and sisters, you can find peace. You can become free. You can break free from your chains. Perhaps you and your parents haven't known of this wonderful truth. Do you catch the sense of what I am saying? [Yes]
Throughout the course of the six-thousand-year history from the time of the Fall until the Second Advent of the Lord, the spirit world has been in darkness. It couldn't be any other way; after the Fall, people lived and died just as they were, without changing their lineage. Therefore, they had no choice but to stay in the darkness of the spirit world.
Let us consider the work being done at Chung Pyung for a moment. Who made creating the good spirit world possible? It is said that the good spirit world came into being recently through the Second Coming of the Lord, but people actually work to make it happen. Without the right environment in place, those people cannot carry out their work. If True Father had passed away without the preparations and environment already being made, he would have had to do everything by himself, from beginning to end. Even though he came to earth as the king of kings and the savior, when the prepared foundation of Christianity failed to receive him, what happened to True Father? He was forced to start out from hell. You need to be aware of this.
As second-generation members, you are standing at the center of the Unification Church. You need to clearly understand your roots and create your environment well. Simply put, the creation of the environment refers to witnessing. Do you understand? [Yes.'
You have heard that the spirit world is a place where people breathe love, haven't you? If you were to go there without having fulfilled your responsibility on earth, the environment where you could live and breathe air in the eternal world would be correspondingly smaller. We all desire to build a large house and to live in comfort, don't we? Even now, though some second-generation members work for the church, others work in a more comfortable environment. Isn't that true?
Regardless of your occupation, you need to witness. That is the only way you will not be accused. As long as you have cause to be accused, no matter how much you have been honored in the world and how strictly you lived for the providence, without straying even once, when you go to the spirit world you will not be free. You should realize this. That is why you need to be continuously spurred on.
We still need to think about the 7 billion people in the world. Our range is still very small. When we think about this nation and the world, we cannot avoid the realization that we need to stake our lives and devote ourselves completely. Do you understand? [Yes.]
In that case, what do you need to do? The Gangdong regional leader told me that he cannot sleep when he fails to bring people. Is this true for you as well? For some people, their work comes first. You need to work, I know. Be that as it may, to be remembered by your descendants and by True Father in the eternal world, and to be able to enjoy your freedom in that world, you need to witness. That is the only path that leads you to blessings.
This is why I am of the opinion that the Korean church headquarters generally and our second-generation members need to receive new training. I cannot create everything for you. Now True Father has completed and accomplished the providence of restoration through indemnity. He has opened Cheon II Guk. It is up to us to create the environment for Cheon Il Guk. Turning heaven and earth upside down cannot be done overnight. Our conditions and efforts, the results of our witnessing, will show how many of our brothers and sisters, our clans, our nations and our neighbors we have embraced with love. They are the fruits of witnessing. I am dismayed to think that Christians, who were to be the foundation, and who had waited for so long for the Lord to return, do not even know that he has come and gone. Christianity is following in the footsteps of the Israelites. How about the Unification Church? In a way, you are fortunate people who have been blessed. This fortune did not come your way easily, and you need to return it to God, because if you pass into the spirit world without having done so, your own sons and daughters -- your own descendants -- will need to indemnify that. Have you ever considered this? Will you do your best now? [Yes!]
Foundation Day is now seventy-two days away. Will you create an atmosphere that can move this nation? [Yes!! To bring this about, I made an announcement yesterday to the effect that I will henceforth concentrate my support on the Citizen's Federation for the Unification of North and South Korea and the International Federation for Victory Over Communism. Is Kim Bong-tae, the former CARP president, here? Back then, we visited many college campuses, middle schools and high schools to give Victory Over Communism lectures. We also held conventions for North and South Korean students together.
Today's generation does not know what caused the Korean War to break out. Therefore, we cannot just sit still and do nothing. Father blessed this nation as God's homeland before he passed away. Is it right for God's homeland to be divided in this way? You people who are living in this era cannot avoid your responsibility. There is no way for you and your parents to evade it, because you have been taught, educated and guided by True Father personally. The unification of South Korea and North Korea is an urgent issue at hand. We need to arm ourselves, not with right-wing or left-wing ideology, but with head-wing ideology, and embrace others with true love. The only organization that can translate that into action is the Unification Church. Other churches preach about love, but they are closed-minded. Their love is only for themselves, not for everyone. Isn't that the case? [Yes]
We need to show them. When will we show them? When the time comes for me to go to the spirit world, what will you do? You should know why I lose sleep at night.
Shin Joon asked me one day, "Grandmother! When did you meet Grandfather?" So I told him what day we met. Then I asked him, "Do you know how old Grandmother is?" He answered, "Aren't you seventy-one years old?" He made me realize again how important the environment is. He is only nine years old, but he speaks in a manly way. One day when it was snowing he said to me, "Grandmother, I have made a snowman twice in my life, the first time when I was five," and then he went on to explain how he had made the snowman. He had wanted to make his third snowman, but the snow that was then falling would not stick together; it just crumbled, so he had not been able to make one. Downstairs, those who knew how to make a snowman had tried packing the snow using water, and they had succeeded. He told me he didn't know how to do that, so he had not been able to make one.
Some time ago, we found a video of when Father had taken Shin Joon to Alaska when he was about two years old and they had gone salmon-fishing. We watched it together. From such a young age, the boy did his best to help his Great Father and Great Mother. For example, when I toured Japan and I didn't take him because he was so little, he would do this thing where he would say "Mmmmm" and send me his energy. No one taught him to do that. In an atmosphere like that, he naturally learns things like that in his inner heart. I'm saying that we should create that kind of environment. Are you against doing that? [No]
In that case, what do we need to do? We have reached the conclusion that the action we have taken and methods we have employed until now have been inadequate. Haven't we? What will you do? Forget eating and sleeping and think about one life. You are all blessed members and you must all have children so you will know how marvelous it is and how much you anticipate the birth of a single life. You can feel Heaven's blessings in that moment. Now, you have been blessed with an opportunity to give birth to a new life every day, or even more than one depending on the effort you make. Will you sit still and be idle? The number of people you have witnessed to and the number of lives you have saved will decide whether you receive a champion's award or not. It is up to you to do it. I hope you will not try to shirk your duty. Regardless of what position or office you hold, our goal is the same: to make everyone in the world a citizen of Cheon 11 Guk. This is the blessing and the purpose we were born for. Is that clear to you?
Don't place so much importance on your position. It's more important that you act. If you cannot overcome crises in these areas, you cannot achieve any development. Particularly you second-generation members, do you understand? [Yes]
Foundation Day is not the day when heaven and earth are broken, but the day on which Cheon II Guk begins. We have our own responsibilities until then. You should not rest until the last person in the world is made a citizen of Cheon Il Guk. We cannot say that we have accomplished everything. This is only the beginning. How can we bear fruit if we have not even begun? We need to sow in order to reap. You need to clearly understand this. To do that, you need to do your best and show God and the world what you can do. What you can, achieve from now on will depend on the effort you make. Let's broaden our scope as much as possible. [Applause]
Make good use of Chung Pyung, which offers much help in witnessing. Okay? [Yes]
If you promise to do that, clap loudly and pledge yourselves to True Father. [Applause]

Special Assembly of 2nd Gens in Korea

True Mother held n special assembly with 2nd generation members who work for our organizations in Korea. The following are her messages during the meeting that day.
One should practice love for the whole, not for themselves. When you have a grateful mind, peace will come. When you have peace in your mind, you can enjoy freedom without restriction. 2nd gens need to know that.
Before receiving the Messiah of the Second Coming, the spirit world had been in darkness. True Father, who has concluded the era of restoration through indemnity, opened the gate of the era of Cheon Il Guk. Foundation Day is the day when we start Cheon Il Guk. That's not the day when heaven and earth are destroyed.
Until all of humanity becomes citizens of Cheon Il Guk, we shouldn't rest. How can you expect any results, even you didn't start yet? 2nd gens are now standing in the central position. You need to create your own environments. Nobody can do it for you but you yourself need to create your own environments. It is your responsibility to create your environment, which means witnessing. Like the Israelite who couldn't prepare themselves to receive Jesus, Christianity nowadays doesn't know the fact that the Messiah of the Second Coming was on earth and already went to the spirit world. Our purpose and blessing is to make 7 billion people citizens of Cheon Il Guk. You must become the 2nd gens that can proudly stand in front of Heaven and the world by exercising your maximum influence.
The way you are doing now can't reach a conclusion. We can revive the life of one person when we forget to eat and sleep for that sake, and so we shouldn't be lazy on that responsibility. Through witnessing you must revive life. We can do it. We will become victors without fail. I hope you will become brave and proud leaders of the 2nd gens of the Unification.
