True Mother bestows the new Cheon Il Guk Scriptures to Dr. Chang Shik Yang, far left, and other continental directors.
True Mother and 1,000 Unificationists attended a joint event to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) and the publication of a new edition of the Cheon Seong Gyeong, Pyeong Hwa Gyeong at the Chung Pyung Training Center in Gapyeong, Korea on June 10, 2013.
Dr. Chang Shik Yang, the FFWPU-Korea president, opened the event with an announcement. The order of the event was the following: Mr. Hyo Yul Kim, vice-chairman of Missionary Foundation, read one of the Hoon Dok speeches and then a 60th anniversary commemoration video was shown. Mr. Seok Byeong Kim, chairman of Seong Hwa publication, gave a report about the publication of the new scriptures; a video of the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures (textbooks for Humankind) was shown; Mr. Jae Seok Lee, vicechairman of the Publication Committee, gave a publication speech; Mr. Min Ha Kim, center president of Peace Ambassadors Council, delivered a congratulatory message from Mr. Min Ha Kim; there was a presentation of flower bouquets; an offering of the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures; True Parents speech; bestowment of Cheon Il Guk Scriptures to continental directors; congratulatory rice cake cutting, luncheon, three cheers of Eog Mansei and closing.

During Hoon Dok Hwe, Mr. Hyo Yul Kim read from the new edition of Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeong Hwa Gyeong. True Mother chose a specific part to be read for the Hoon Dok Hwe in order to show the significance of publishing the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures.
Afterwards, a video of the 60th anniversary of the founding of FFWPU, which included the history of the providence that liberates Heavenly Parent and saving Humankind was shown. This video portrayed the determination of FFWPU-Korea headquarter staff to work on the front line in order to achieve the holy work of Cheon Il Guk.
Mr. Young Hui Kim, director of Publications, said, “Today, we have 74 days to go until True Father’s one year Seonghwa anniversary, and we are gathered here at this solemn place to offer the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures to inherit True Father’s great work and the settlement of Cheon Il Guk. True Mother was focused on passing down True Father’s work, and she mainly focused on publishing the new Cheon Il Guk Scriptures. I think the reason why True Mother held the publication ceremony together with the 60th anniversary of founding FFWPU is that it is her plan to work on the providence through the Divine Principle and the new Cheon Il Guk Scriptures: Cheon Seong Gyeong, Pyeong Hwa Gyeong and Chambumo Gyeong.”
Young Unificationists read their words of determination for the victory of Cheon Il Guk.
Mr. Seok Byeong Kim, chairman of Seong Hwa Publications, gave a report about the progress of publishing the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures and said, “The existing Cheon Seong Gyeong had some misquoted and duplicated parts, which True Mother was sad to see. So, she gave guidance to publish the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures. Officially, the Publication Committee was inaugurated on August 23, 2012. After that, there was a lot of editing during the next 10 months. We had implemented a policy for editing such as: ‘quoted in True Father’s original speech,’ added speeches from the 2000’s, which is the Cheon Il Guk era and created a Cheon Il Guk-era faith guidance. We followed these policies and had six stages of editing to publish the new Cheon Seong Gyeong and Pyeong Hwa Gyeong that included planning, research and selecting speeches, editing, supervision, verification and publication.
The video about the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures, referred to as “Textbooks of Humankind,” was shown to the audience. The video depicted God’s wish that the textbooks will contribute to saving humankind and lead to an era of world peace.

Mr. Jae Seok Lee, vice chairman of the publication committee, asked the audience to become people of Cheon Il Guk who complete their missions by becoming perfected individuals, perfected families and tribal messiahs. He said, “We need to educate and train people to personify and substantiate True Parents’ words.” Mr. Min Ha Kim, the main president of Peace Ambassadors Committee, gave a congratulatory message and he said, “True Mother excerpted the great and precious words that Father gave in his whole life and made them into great scriptures in front of humankind. I have lived 80 years with a lot of books, but I am sure these Scriptures are very high quality, even compared with any other scripture in the world. I believe these books will be a guide to true love, true family, peace, righteousness, truth and conscience.
Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the co-founder of FFWPU, expressed her appreciation that she was able to offer the Cheon Il Guk Scriptures before True Father’s one year Seonghwa anniversary. She told the event’s participants, “In front of the fallen humankind, the 60 years of Father’s work is like precious jewelry. I am so happy and truly appreciate that beautiful jewelries are not in disarray but orderly. It is the time that where we need to accelerate our actions in era of Cheon Il Guk, and this book will serve as the actual center, fruit and pillar of Cheon Il Guk.” She also requested, ”We need to think about the seven billion people and make sure they are reborn as Cheon Il Guk citizens and complete their missions and responsibilities. We need to remain determined that we will act according to the Divine Principle. Please set today as a day of determination and invest all your energy to saving all of humankind centered on the precious words that God gave us.”
Archbishop Ki Hoon Kim holds the new scriptures at the FFWPU headquarter in New York.
During the luncheon there were celebration performances. The Universal Peace Academy (UPA) choir performed, singer Ms. Sakai Reiko performed two songs. Professor Mi Ran Kim and four other singers performed a quintet and Cheong Shim Family Choir performed.
The ceremony closed with three cheers of Eog Mansei led by Mr. No Hi Park, chairman of Tongil Group.
