A 21-day training for young Unificationists called to assist in missionary work related to the Vision 2020 project recently was inaugurated in Korea according to a report on the Tongil website. Dubbed as the church’s “Top Guns,” the 36 second-generation youth heard words of encouragement from True Mother at the ceremony September 23, 2003 at the Peace Palace, in Chung Pyung, Korea.
True Mother explained “how hard it was for Moses to lead the Israelites” and “the reason why out of 12 tribal representatives Moses charged to investigate the region of Canaan in ancient times, only Caleb and Joshua become historical people due to their absolute faith.” She encouraged second- generation leaders to have as much faith as Caleb and Joshua.
She also observed that “True Father was never able to rest properly in his age from 17 to 40 since he started working on God’s will. She urged the gathering to think about the fact that Father lived his life like this and not to forget Father’s heart.”
Especially for this ceremony, True Mother used the word, “Top Gun,” which True Father used in 1980s when he was training missionaries at East Garden in United States. She expressed her wish that the Top Guns would inherit Father’s vision and tradition of training set in the early days and that they would become successful leaders who accomplish Vision 2020.
Mr. Gyeong Deuk Yu, president of the Youth Federation for World Peace, who participated in training, said “When I listened to True Mother’s speech I was able to enjoy the benefits of True Mother’s grace. Also, I was able to make new determination. I hope through this 21- day training my fellow second generation will work towards Vision 2020 with one heart and mind.”
The 21- days training will be held until October 13, 2013 at the Chung Pyung Training Center.
