True Mother:

(Some 200 leaders gathered in the Hoon Dok Room in Cheon Jeong Gung at 1 pm on September 30, 2010, 8.15 on the Heavenly Calendar for an assembly presided by True Mother, who gave the words and special instructions you see below. We share the main content of her words with all members with the hope that the church innovation led by True Mother will be accompanied by Heavenly Fortune and tremendous success.)

How can we go back to the early Unification Church that was alive with spirit and truth? Can we become a church where the words of the Principle are taught without ceasing, a church crowded with young people wanting to hear God's word and receive the Blessing? President Hyo Won Eu taught the words of the Principle 16 hours a day. We have to return to that time, when he risked his life to convey God's word despite the difficulties arising from his physical disability.

I am not able to sleep, because I am trying to think how we can create a church increasing with new members, a church filled with vitality. The works that Father initiated are no vast, but my heart aches to think of how we were not able to preserve these in a way that is in keeping with his desire. (Mother sheds tears). I have struggled very much over how we are going to continue these.

I was going to wait longer before making this announcement, but we cannot waste even a day. The son whom I had sent to the United States has returned, so I will make the announcement without further delay. I can no longer suppress my desire to create a Unification Church similar to when President Hyo Won Eu lectured with passion, and so I must make this announcement. The image of President Eu lecturing, even when there wasn't enough food for him to eat, is stuck to my brain and I cannot sleep. The 36 Couples and 72 Couples are the root of our church. They are the ancestors of Blessed Families. I am grateful to them for having remained even through those difficulties. I want to repay my debt to them before they go to the spirit world.

I want to return to the time when President Hyo Won Eu lectured with all his soul, all his life and all his Shim Jung. Will you really do that? (Response: "Yes. We will.") I want to recreate that era when worshiping on Sunday was not the end, where we conveyed God's word through our lives 24 hours a day, where we yearned to see shikku again, where the words of the Principle were taught without ceasing, where we brought people to the church because we were desperate to have as many people as possible hear the words of the Principle. Because I want to do this, I cannot sleep. I cannot eat, and when I try to sleep I cannot go to sleep. I thought I might take sleeping pills, but I was told not to, so I didn't.

But the terrible thing now is that there aren't enough people to do the work. There are no young people. Everyone is in their 60s and 70s. Where did all the young people go? What were you doing all this time? (Mother sheds tears again.) I will step down as Chairman of the Board of Sun Moon Education Foundation. I will devote my full time to the work of the church. Witnessing to new members is important, but it is heart-breaking that we have not been able to offer the second and third generations to Heaven. Twenty thousand second generation have all been washed away into the secular world. Only 100 second generation are available to work now. That's all the second generation who are in public positions now. This is something truly shameful.

So I received Father's understanding. This, too, was something I was going to announce later, but I will do it now. I will sell the helicopter that Father rode in. I told Father I would sell it and use the money to bring the second generation situation under control. If I don't use it, no one will, but if it is left unused it will break down. So I will sell it. But to think of selling the helicopter that Father loved so much... (Mother sheds again and weeps.) I will sell this helicopter and use the money to educate leaders. Once I made this decision, my mind felt more at ease. It hurt my heart that we could not preserve it forever and must sell it. It is the responsibility of all of us.

It puts my mind at ease, though, because we need to let people know about Father, we need to witness, we need to bring the second and third generation situation under control, the Unification Family needs to show incredible growth.

Beginning on the 25th [of the eighth month on the heavenly calendar], I had Bo Hi Pak conduct events at the Cheon Bok Gung to commemorate Father for the purpose of telling people about Father and testifying to him. It is important to make Father known. I am going to reduce the many projects that had been initiated until now. We will focus our energies only on witnessing. My two sons created a miracle at the Cheon Bok Gung. I intend to fill it with love, Shim Jung and the Holy Spirit. So now the Unification Church will return to the pioneering spirit.

Each regional leader will take over as senior pastor in the main church in the region. You will lecture the Divine Principle every day and have revival meetings. Lecture with the Shim Jung of President Hyo Won Eu when he lectured at the risk of his life. Itinerant Workers will tour the country with the Church President. These tours will not be only for the sake of the Word. Listen to the situations of each church as you tour and figure out how the church can become a place where the Principle is taught without ceasing. Go the churches in each region and listen to the situations in the field. You must make yourselves so busy your feet will catch fire.

Establishment Rally for the 'Abel Women UN'

Distinguished guests from 194 nations around the world, and dear leaders of the Women's Federation for World Peace, WFWP International!

I wish to extend my warmest welcome to the women leaders, the peace leaders, and the members of WFWP from 194 nations around the world, who have come to the Cheong Shim Peace World Center in Korea to take part in the historical Establishment Rally for the 'Abel Women UN.'

From the early days, Rev. Moon and I upheld the Will of heaven and proclaimed the vision of peaceful world originally envisioned at the time of creation. We have come here today shortly after our busy providential schedule in America in order to create the 'Abel Women UN,' the mission of which is to realize the providential goal of creating on Earth the eternal peaceful world devoid of conflicts and wars.

As my husband Rev. Moon and I have proclaimed before, "Korea is the homeland of God." Therefore, the Establishment Rally for the 'Abel Women UN', which will play the providential role of leading the establishment of the new peaceful world, must take place here in Korea according to the Will of God.

Beloved women leaders from around the world!

As you are well aware, the humanity which was suffering from the aftermath of World War II founded United Nations according to the Will of God with the yearning for peace. In June 1945, representatives from 45 nations around the world gathered in San Francisco, America to join the 'UN Charter.' Now with 193 member nations, today the UN has developed into the only organization in the world with the purpose of maintaining the world peace.

Respected peace leaders from around the world!

But what is the reality today? UN has failed to prevent many wars during the past 60 years, including the Korean War. The Cold War has ended but the world still witnesses many wars of varying size that arise from the conflicts between rich and poor, between different races, and between different religions. UN has failed to fulfill its original mission to maintain the world peace according to its original ideal.

Since it was created as a result of compromise between America and Soviet Union during the Cold War, UN was handicapped with limits from its birth in realizing world peace that transcends the scope of individual nation. That is why I have proclaimed that UN cannot escape the position of Cain from the perspective of God's Will. This is the reason why we urge that the renewal of UN is absolutely critical for the settlement of the eternal peaceful world which was originally envisioned at the time of creation. In order to accomplish this, I have already submitted a formal proposal for renewal to UN with Philippine as its representative nation. It proposes the creation of 'Inter-religious and International Peace Council' within UN. This council, as the Abel organization, will be the upper house whereas the current UN which has become the arena of competition between the member nations will be the lower house.

Respected peace leaders!

UN has not been able to advance beyond the level of balancing the various interests of each nation. That is why we urge today that the new system of women's peace movement centering on NGO(Non-Governmental Organization) must replace the current male-centered system of GO(Governmental Organization) in order to overcome its limitation and to finally usher in the settlement of world peace. Since such women's peace movement can only be realized through the global cooperation which goes beyond the level of NGO, the establishment of 'Abel Women UN' is necessary.

When we look back, today's historical Establishment Rally for the 'Abel Women UN began from the establishment of 'Women's Federation for World Peace', which was created as the spinal organization for women's peace movement according to the Will of Heaven. It was established in April 1992, at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, and it was attended by women representatives from some 70 nations and 150,000 Korean women leaders. For twenty years since its establishment, 'Women's Federation' has been constantly engaged in world peace movement through creating networks for peace movement centering on women in 160 nations around the world.

Also, the goal of 'Women's Federation' was not to remain as another women's organization. Its goal was the global peace movement of new kind which had in its heart the providential goal of realizing God's Ideal World. It was different from the aggressive and political women's movement which sought to achieve their goals through conflicts.

For the past 20 years, the Women's Federation which started with such providential goal has experienced remarkable growth as it operated and managed many supportive and educational programs around the world aimed at elevating the status of women and realizing the settlement of families based on True Love.

Rev. Sun Myung Moon and I, as co-founders, have been creating foundations around the world since the creation of Women's Federation. Also, the peace movement was able to expand with the help of 1,600 Japanese volunteers who were sent to 160 nations around the world. Even now, it is advancing the reconciliations between nations, and various volunteer and educational programs around the world that transcend the barriers of races, religions, languages, and national boundaries. All of this is being undertaken in accordance with the message Rev. Moon revealed in his speech at the establishment of Women's Federation: "We must define what it is to be True Mother and True Wife through attending True Mother who is the victorious representative of all women around the world. We must realize the ideal families through True Love movement. Then, we must wage the movement to realize the True Love of 'living for the sake of others' in every part of the society so that we may realize the world peace.

Following a special address I was invited to give at the UN Headquarters, New York, in September 1993, and three years of international humanitarian activities, WFWP was approved by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) as an NGO with General Consultative Status.

Our WFWP Women's Conference for Peace in the Middle East, which has been held every year from 1997, has attracted much interest and participation from women leaders of the twenty-some nations in the Middle East. Now it has expanded and given birth to more concrete activities in the field, which I am glad to be able to report.

At the end of June this year, WFWP sponsored the 16th annual Middle East conference, which was held in conjunction with the UN Offices in Geneva, on the subject of "Children Affected by Conflict and Disaster: Prevention, Protection, Healing and Empowerment." The contribution by speakers representing UN organizations of their expertise in a number of relevant fields, combined with the active participation of a number of UN ambassadors, counselors and international NGO representatives, led me to feel that such meetings have the potential to offer real solutions to the healing of our world if the conclusions reached can be acted upon.

'Women's Federation' is not only engaging in active relief efforts to help those who are struck by natural disasters and famines, but it is also helping the children and women of North Korea. These endeavors have been very successful.

I extend my sincere gratitude to those who have helped the Women's Federation to stay on its track.

However, 'Women's Federation' now must advance even further. It must go beyond the next step, to walk the path of the creation of peaceful world through joining the forces together with other NGOs and women leaders of the world. The establishment of 'Abel Women UN', which will go beyond the level of women NGO and bring the governments around the world together, is absolutely necessary, and it is also the command of God which must be obeyed.

I make a solemn declaration for the establishment of 'Abel Women UN' which will help all the women around the world to realize this historical mission, and expand the scope of women's movements to the entire world.

Beloved women peace leaders!

In today's world, where must the humanity go? The problems that the humanity faces today can only be resolved through the ideals of True Love centering on God, and the ideal of 'One Family Under God' which Rev. Moon and I, as True Parents, have been teaching all our lives from the moment we received the teaching from heaven. For this ideal alone is the only path that will lead the humanity to the world of everlasting peace and happiness.

We live in the age of historical crossroad. We live at the age of cosmic revolution where the ideal heaven which God so desired from the moment of creation must now be firmly established through uniting the spiritual and the physical world. It cannot be delayed anymore. The heaven has already declared January 13, 2013 to be the 'Foundation Day.'

Therefore, the humanity must now humbly obey the command of heaven. Following the guidance of True Parents who is leading the heaven's providence as the substantial self of God, the King of Peace, we must live out the rest of the time with strong determination.

Beloved women leaders!

The course for the humanity has been set. Now that we have the D-day which was given by the heaven through True Parents, what reason is there for us to hesitate? We have less than one year. The heaven will bless your endeavors in establishing the peaceful world centered on 'Abel Women UN.'

However, I would like to emphasize once again that the priority of 'Abel Women UN' should be the true family movement of living for the sake of others, based on true love, carried out in conjunction with proper values education. War and conflict arises from selfish motives of desiring to take others' land, possessions or the like by force. On the other hand, peace arises from investing oneself for the sake of others, that is, giving based on true love.

Those leaders who turn their faces away from the new realities of the world, or who fail to see them, will be wiped away by the changes coming upon us like a Tsunami. I believe the time has now come for us to step forward boldly and receive new opportunities and values.

Beloved women leaders!

Women are not there to help or to be protected by men; rather, they are independent individuals who, as representatives of the feminine aspect of God's nature, are meant to make men more complete and manly. Centering on True Love, women are the precious partners of love to men. In terms of value, men and women are absolutely equal beings.

Men and women who unite through the True Love of original ideal share the same position. Also, they attain the right to be with each other wherever they may be. Furthermore, they attain the ideal right of inheritance, where each other's properties will belong to each other equally.

Thus, men and women, who are brought into oneness through original love under God's ideal of true love, have been created to become completely equal beings, centered on true love, by sharing not only the same rank and the right of participation but also their possessions with one another.

Therefore, men and women do not need to confront or contend with each other, for they do not need to imitate the characteristics, dispositions or roles of the other or to covet those things and take them by force. Instead, by giving what they have to the other with true love and completing the other, they can become united as a greater whole and share in one another. In the 21st century, women should play a major role in world history by serving as one of the wheels of the engine pulling forward the construction of a peaceful world together with men. Going beyond a century of power and technology, women will be the central axis in building the century of love and the peace culture, and their role will be more important than ever before.

I sincerely ask you to walk the path of True Mother, the path of True Wife, the path of True Daughter, and the path of True Women Leader who will build the unified world where freedom, peace, and happiness in its truest sense overflow.

Let us all walk the path of the true mother, true wife, true daughter and true woman leader, who can construct a unified world overflowing with true freedom, peace and happiness.

The last opportunity in our lives

Hak Ja Han:

This could be the last opportunity in our lives, and from the viewpoint of the providence this is the final point in time when we must establishing true faith. I think all of you are blessed members; hat is the blessed families' responsibility on the earth? What is it? What is it that you have to achieve while you are on earth? What is God's desire?

Just yesterday I heard that the 72 couples celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Many blessed families have followed God's will over for fifty years or more, beginning from the 36 couples)

What can you say you have accomplished? These days Father often says "everything is completed. Now we are on the last stretch." What do you all think? The truth is that when we look around us, the world is full of imperfect accomplishments.

It is time to put things in order and tie them to one center; however, each of you thinks and acts too individually. It seems to me that you are primarily concerned with what you want to be and what you have to do before you consider whether what you are doing is aligned with the center. If that is the case, we will not be able to realize one world. You have been unable to unite centered on Heaven, and though you should live, think, act and practice a lifestyle that helps connect everything in your lives to the center with every breath you take and with each new day, this is regrettably not yet coming to pass.

So what I am asking of you, since Foundation Day is not far away now, is to achieve results as blessed families who live in this era and attend True Parents. How many times True Father has emphasized that you need to carry out your responsibilities as tribal messiahs and that "You must fulfill your mission"!

Father has also permitted us the grace of ancestral liberation, through which the spiritual world and the physical world can be united. He has thus has opened the path in front of us. When we consider whether you have met his expectations and achieved satisfactory results, however, we are sorry to find that you are still far from reaching the standard set by Heaven. Henceforth, you should stop thinking only about yourselves and endeavor to become one with the providence centered on True Parents. You should create an environment extending to your surroundings that reveals what your center is. After all, isn't it our ultimate responsibility to build the kingdom of heaven on earth in which we attend God?

It is true that this is a rather difficult time for the Unification Church. Nevertheless, I am sure that you have clearly learned what the will of God and True Parents is in the Original Substance of Divine Principle workshop you attended recently. You need to do your very best in the positions you have been given. This is the final stage. If you are standing on the edge of a cliff and your next move will determine whether you live or die, how will you act?

From this standpoint, we also need to think about this Hoon Dok Hae session. Hoon Dok Hae should be about how we, our surroundings, our church and our nation can grow. There are many occasions when Father continues speaking for ten hours or more, be it night or day, because sometimes you are not in the right level of relationship with him.

He does this more often when he comes to Korea. He is surely doing so because he anguishes over you. With Foundation Day only a few months away, I hope and pray that you will do your best and become blessed families, leaders and members that can achieve great results in front of Heaven.

Sun Myung Moon:

I hope, when you leave, that you will leave everything behind and go completely cleansed, with a resolution to fulfill your responsibility as the owners of your nations with the authority of the beloved and hopeful son of God. Mother! The difficult world will soon end. It must come to an end sometime. You should all remember that it must inevitably come to an end, and that although you may hear reports and see things that touch your heart, you should fulfill your responsibilities first and wait. Do you understand? [Yes]

Now, then, let us bring this morning session to a close. Have a safe trip back home.

We are in the last moment

Mrs. McDevitt read Father's speech from the Sermon of the Rev. Moon volume 53, titled "New Messiah and the Providence as Formula." After the reading, Mother spoke. She spoke very slowly holding back her tears pausing between each sentence. Father listened to her with his eyes closed. Mother said:

"From the viewpoint of the providence, we are in the last moments when we need to make a conclusion. All of you are Blessed families, and what responsibility do you have? What is that? What do you need to accomplish on earth? What is God's wish? You have been following God's will, and for example, I heard yesterday 72 Blessed couples celebrated their golden anniversary, and so they followed God's will for half a century.

Then what can you say you have accomplished? Father often says 'Everything has been done. We are in the last moment.' How about you? Actually, when we look around, there is always a lot of incomplete work. We must put all in order and tie them to one center, however, each thinks and does their activities very individually. Before thinking if your behaviors accord with the center, it seems to me that you firstly think what you want to be and what you want to do. If so, we can't realize the heavenly world. All you do in your life such as breathing and starting a day must be connected to the center, and you must always become a plus to it. You must think, behave and practice that but it is a pity in that sense.

So what I want to ask you is that having Foundation Day ahead, you as the Blessing families, who attend to True Parents, must show results to them. How many times has Father emphasized that you should fulfill your responsibility as the Tribal Messiah? Father opened the way wide for you to go by allowing you liberate your ancestors so that we can unite the spirit and physical worlds, but to what degree have you responded to it? It is sad to see what Heaven expects is far from the standard you have now. Please don't think by yourself, but centering on Father, make efforts so that you accord with God's will, and make a larger environment where you can testify the center (Father). That is the kingdom of heaven on earth where we attend to God, and is our responsibility.

As Unification Church members, it is certain that we face a difficult time. But I believe you have clearly understood through 본체론교육 (education of the Original Substance of the Divine Principle) what Heaven wants to accomplish. Each one of you must do your best in your mission, but this is the last time. If you are put at the cliff and face a matter of life and death, what will you do?

In that sense, Hoon Dok Hae must become the time when 'myself,' 'my environments,' 'my church,' and 'my country' can grow bigger. Sometimes, Father, whom I guess couldn't have a common base with you, has it for more than 10 hours. I think he does so especially when he is here in Korea. What a shame Father has to do such a long meeting.

With the Foundation Day little time ahead, I would like to ask you to be the leaders and the Blessed families who make the best efforts and harvest big results for Heaven."

After Mother spoke, Father closed the meeting with the following words.

"I hope you, becoming God's sons and daughters, will be determined to fulfill the responsibility as owner in the Kingdom of Heaven. (Toward Mother) Difficult environments will be over. They will be over sometime. I hope you will not forget that you should complete at least your mission and responsibility before the time is over. Let's conclude the meeting this morning, and 안녕히들 돌아가세요." (Good night, go back)

Rev. Song's Report on True Mother's Japan Tour

Victory Celebration for True Mother's speaking tour and Hoon Dok Hae at the Cheon Jeong Gung on 2. 21 by the H.C. (Mar. 13, 2012)

The following are the excerpts of Rev. Song's report.

"At a welcoming banquet, Mother showed us Father's wallet. According to her, (holding back his tears) when she was leaving, Father came outside and told her to take it with her to Japan, which contains Father's ID card and 3 million Won Father always has to give to the people and members. Japanese members who saw it wept loudly thinking 'Father came to Japan with the wallet Mother brought.'

There are 140,000 couples in Japan and two thirds of them come to the church, and even more come for special occasions. I expect that many people will show up on D-Day. There are 5 million people in Japan who attended the workshop but didn't remain in the church, and we have to find all of them. In South Osaka where we have 55 churches, they have contact with 100,000 people of that kind, and have realized all of them still miss True Parents. They are coming back to the church now only because they miss True Parents. Right after they come to the church, they just shed tears. Some left the church 10 years ago, and others did so 15 years ago. They say that after they left the church, they couldn't find another place like the Unification Church where they experienced love, hope and truth, and couldn't enjoy their life no matter how rich they became. One brother said to me, '15 years ago, I left the church with this and that reasons,' and offered his business and real estate to the church.

Japanese members miss True Father so much. When I go to their church, they treat me as Father, and all of them want to shake hands with me. There are too many members and so I just walk keeping my arms and hands open so that they can touch my hands. I felt that they wanted to experience Father's fragrance.

This time what made me worried most before True Mother came to Japan was the fact that thousands of fish in Chiba province died at the sea shore one week before she came. There has also been the mood in Tokyo that they must move from there. I was happy to receive Mother but on the other hand I had been worried about her who would stay in Japan for eight days. I prayed that we would do the best we can so that nothing would happen during that period. I even prayed to God 'Heavenly Father, you created the land and ocean, and if you are destroying them and we die now, there is something wrong here.'

There was one man, 33 years old in Kumamoto who belongs to a religious organization (SNI) of 300,000 believers. He had received a revelation on Jan. 1, 2011, in which God told him to make 2,000 origami cranes for world peace and for the salvation of humankind. He started to make 10 cranes every day with the help of one member, but they didn't know to whom they were supposed to offer them. Later this person, Mr. Kimura, received Father's autobiography from his younger twin brother who had read it before. In the beginning, Mr. Kimura refused to read it, but then his brother said, 'If you read this, you will solve your problem (regarding to whom he needed to offer the origami cranes).' So Mr. Kimura read the book, and was strongly moved by the life of True Parents. He also found Mother's name has/Hak (crane), and realized that True Parents were the only people to offer the origami cranes to. When they made 1999 cranes on the 100th day, he received a further revelation that told him to make two cranes together as the last one. Mr. Kimura didn't know how to make it but one person, sent by Heaven, came to his place and said to Mr. Kimura that he can teach him how to make it. Mr. Kimura was so surprised and so happy that this person could teach him how to do it. Mr. Kimura completed making 2,000 cranes including the two tied cranes on the 101st day, which was April 11.

Then he received another revelation that the Unification Church is the model for realizing God's peaceful world and that the Unification Church, which was established by God, is to realize the unification of North and South Korea. But he was not a Unification Church member and had no access to offer his cranes, and so he came to think that he needed to find the person who gave Father's autobiography to his younger twin brother. The person who gave the book was Mrs. Kusakabe, 65 years old. He went to her place only to find that she had gone to the Yeosu workshop for 40 days. Long story short, he heard that Mother would come to Japan, and finally he was able to offer his cranes to her through a church leader.

When Mother received them, she asked if he was at the rally, and was told that only the church members could participate at the rally this time. She told us to specially invite the two men who made the cranes, and they came. After the rally was over, Mother met them briefly when they explained how they came to make the cranes. After she heard from them, she said "Receive the Blessing." Mr. Kimura replied, 'I have a girlfriend.' Then Mother said, 'When you receive the lecture, you will understand. Listen to the lecture.' Yesterday, Mrs. Kusakabe met Mr. Kimura, who had received the lectures, said he would receive the Blessing. (Applause) Members there say Mother witnessed to Mr. Kimura and so he is Mother's spiritual child.

There are many Japanese members but only around 5,000 of them have been able to directly see True Parents. For example, when we have celebrations at the Cheon Jeong Gung, only 500 to 600 members can participate. Only those who have the maximum results can participate. In Kyoto, only 2,500 people could be with Mother in the main room, and another 1,000 were in another room disappointingly watching Mother on the screen. When Mother heard that, she said she would go to the other room to see them before her speech. When she came there, they welcomed her crying so loudly. This surprising visit happened several times during her tour.

It seemed that it was hard for Mother to hold the rally in Kyoto where I think the spirit world is heavy. But it was amazing for me how wonderful Sun Jin Nim was to keep encouraging Mother. I would say Sun Jin Nim was the MVP this time, from whom I have learned lots."

The following are some of Mother's words.

"Japan has a difficult time internally and externally, and that's why I went there. External problems such as if Japan sinks or not is important, but internally Japanese members,,,, It has been more than 50 years since the Unification Church in Japan was established, hasn't it? ('It has been 52 years.') For the sake of the providence in the world as well as following Father, there have been lots of ups and downs. Those who joined the church in the early days and have been on the front line, for example, we have the Japanese president of the Unification Church (Rev. Gentarou Kajikuri) here who is now over 70, and as Rev. Song said he suffers cancer on three locations in his body. Even though he has difficulties in doing activities, he is doing them as if it is a life or death situation. Until the last day, he is determined to work in the front line, and his son grew well and is now a leader there too. It was so beautiful to see his daughter-in-law attend to her father-in-law. Everywhere he went, she carried him in a wheelchair. I truly saw beauty in her.

At every venue, I saw all the members trying to directly see me. Later I heard that it would be great if I could come to Japan every six months, if not a year. (Seeing Father) I said it all depends on Father, not me. I strongly feel that it was really good to visit Japan. Father's speech that I read was great and Heaven gave another opportunity to do the best before D-Day.

I keenly felt this time that our Jeong Seong towards Heaven always remains. (Holding back her tears) Their faith is so beautiful. I have visited Hokkaido where there is a couple who practices music. When I saw them five years ago, they seemed young, but this time they seemed much older. The wife sang 'GaGoPa' at the victory celebration, who had actually been kidnapped before and escaped by the skin of her teeth. There are so many difficulties internally and externally in Japan but when I see them, firmly holding their faith do the best they can in the front line, (holding back her tears) I wanted to do what I can for them. I wish I could have done more for them."

At the conclusion of the event, Mother greets officers of the Sun Moon Educational Foundation; University of Bridgeport president Dr. Neil Salonen congratulates True Mother

On March 15 True Mother was installed as the chairwoman of the Sun Moon Educational Foundation, an organization that administers the schools and other educational institutions founded or overseen by True Parents. These include Sun Moon University, the Sun Hwa Arts Middle and High School and Seonjeong High School (which True Mother attended as a child). The position will afford Mother a more direct and personal role in promoting the values of the organization.

Newly installed Sun Moon University president Dr. Sun-jo Hwang explained in his welcoming remarks that True Parents "have established the Sun Moon Educational Foundation to carry out research, education and voluntary work in order to establish the ideal of peace within our present reality."

In her speech of acceptance of the position, True Mother further explained the foundation's philosophy:

We now need to open the way to a new era under the governance of Heaven's providence, the era of heavenly affairs. Accordingly, the Sun Moon Educational Foundation will rightly establish its identity and lead a new reformation in society, which is presently drowning in a swamp of despair, most especially in the field of education.

The Sun Moon Educational Foundation's tradition is clear. It is a family community, in which, in accordance with the teachings of our founder, the teachers, in the position of parents, should guide students with love and affection and the students, in the position of children, should listen to their teachers with obedience and respect. This means that the nature of the institutions of the Sun Moon Educational Foundation is to be a platform for researching, teaching, learning and experiencing the serving spirit of living for the sake of others and that it is deeply rooted in true love, which demands neither condition nor reward. The Sun Moon Educational Foundation should be the first to create the culture of communication and the harmony of coexistence, that is, the culture of heart, and thus present the field of education in Korea with a new vision.

In congratulating True Mother, University of Bridgeport president Dr. Neil Salonen said:

We have the means to educate everyone in the world but we don't have the values or the will. Many leaders call for economic development, believing that material goods will provide the means. Yet the most developed societies are the ones that are having the most difficulty transmitting their educational values to the young. Wealth without a moral compass leads nowhere.... The essential difference between our Sun Moon Educational Foundation and every other effort in the world is that it represents God's hope to transmit His values and for them to be embodied in the young people so we can establish the kingdom of heaven on earth."

The Inaugural ceremony of True Mother as the chairperson of the board of the educational foundation "선문학원" (Sun Moon Educational Institute) was held on 2.23 by the HC (Mar. 15, 2012) at Universal Art Center. Father joined her from Geomundo through the internet.

In her address, she said, "Neither democracy or communism is the answer. Now we must open the new era 천정시대 (Cheon Jeong Shidae: The Era of Heavenly Emotion or Love) in the providential administration by Heaven. -- Therefore, 선문학원 (Sun Moon Educational Institute) needs to present the new vision to the educational arena in Korea by promoting the culture of 소통 -- 화통 (communication and harmonious interaction) in which all inter-depend, that is, the culture of the heart."

"The tradition of the Sun Moon Education Foundation is clear. In accordance with the teachings of our Founder, teachers guide their students with love and Shim Jeong from the position of parents, and students relate to their teachers with obedience and respect from the position of children. I visited Japan when the nation was in difficulty, both internally and externally. Externally, they had undergone a tsunami and earthquakes, and they also had problems with the nuclear reactors and people were worried. Internally, our Japanese members have also had problems. Our church in Japan dates back over fifty years, doesn't it? [Fifty-two years]

There have been many changes in the global providence in accordance with True Father's work. Among those who have worked at the forefront from the beginning, one church leader, one of the first to receive the blessing, is now over seventy years old. [Gentaro Kaiikuri] He has cancer in three places in his body, as Rev. Song told you earlier. Because of that, he can hardly move around. Yet he works at the risk of his life, with the resolution to continue working until his dying moment.

His son, who is now a church leader himself, has been raised well. His wife takes such good care of her father-in-law that it is beautiful to behold. Her father-in-law sits in a wheelchair, and she takes him anywhere he wants to go and waits on him hand and foot. I thought she was just wonderful.

Wherever I go, I try to see as much of our members as possible, but there are so many places to visit and so many meetings to hold. I heard later that the members asked if I could come to see them every six months. If that seemed too often, they asked me to come to see them at least once a year. I said that that was up to Father, not me, and laughed, but I felt that I had done well to visit them this time.

The message was wonderful, too. At a timely moment, we were reawakening Japan. God was blessing them by giving them this last opportunity to do their best in the providence. I keenly felt that when we offer devotions to God, they help us in the long run, one way or another.

The faith of those members is also very beautiful. I've visited Hokkaido several times; among our members there, is one musical family. When I saw them five years ago, I thought they were quite young, but they have grown up.

The wife sang "Wish to Go" at the party afterward, and she sang it very well. Five years ago, I was told that she had been abducted and confined and had escaped at the risk of her life. As you can see, Japan has many internal and external issues. Even under such dire circumstances, our members are keeping true to their faith and doing their very best. As I looked at them, I wanted to do everything I could for them [Mother holds back a sob], but I had to leave them and come back, Father. [Applause]
